“Princess left a good impression”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

This was our chosen hotel on our second visit to Kusadasi, and after being to near all them in our area,has to be one of the best.
After slight room error on arrival,we were put into an apartment, and not hotel as booked,this was quickly resolved-things began to fall into place, we were two families together, there was lots to do, for kids- had a kids pool with two water slides in it,which was good, and various activities during the day.
Good food choice in this place, places to sit at night time, i mention this because i feel this is important,as when we were at other hotel, there was like one place, every night, terrible.
Helpful staff,nice views, because your high up, places to eat on way down to beach.
The only thing slightly negative is that there are a lot of steps to the beach ( 278 i believe ) , but there are plenty of places to stop on the way down, but having said that, there is a really good tractor service, which goes to beach i think every 20 to 25 mins and back up again during day , which takes care of all these steps.
Would we go back??? yes, we would.

Room Tip: Ithink the hotel rooms are better situated than the apartments, its like a maze going up to apartmen...

I didn't book to go to this hotel initially but due to overbooking by Thomas Cook we were changed to this hotel 4 days before we were due to fly out (very stressful!!!). I have alot to say so will break it down.

Rooms; We were upgraded to a superior room, the room was basic although spacious and very clean but the view was amazing. There are different types of accommodation some in the main hotel and villa style buildings in the hotel grounds. From speaking to different guests they all seemed to want to be in the main hotel. The hotel is built into a cliff and although stunning views you have to be quite fit to get around - not recommended for anyone with a mobility issue. Some people have commented on the noise but this did not affect us in any way but I suppose it depends on where your room is located.

Entertainment; The entertainment staff in this hotel are superb. They work very long hours and are often seen on their days off talking to guests! They put an incredable amount of work into the shows and try to accommodate every nationality and taste (not an easy task). Most of them speak many languages and have time for everyone, there are games around the pool and bar daily (no pressure if you don't want to join in). They did bingo, discos (for children as well as 'oldies'), beach parties, kids clubs and activites. The shows at night were very varied and something for everyone. They have Tuesday off but there is still a show at night.

Food; Not much to say other than excellent!! We stayed for 2 weeks and were never bored with the food as it was different every night. There are also a la carte restaurants but didn't try due to a fussy 7 year old - we were more than happy with the main restaurant. Watch your plates though they are so obsessive with cleaning they will swipe your plate before you've finished. The obsession with cleaning is everywhere (which is good), they are constantly changing ashtrays, removing empty glasses, cleaning, dusting and polishing everything in sight.

Swimming pools/Beach;
2 different areas/pools, one area with 2 water slides and then the main pool by the bar. We never had an issue getting a sunbed whatever time of the day. There is also a policy that they remove towels if they are put on sunbeds before 8am. The beach again has many sunbeds, clearly defined areas to swim, watersports (free canoes and pedalos but pay for jet ski, paragliding etc)

Surrounding area;
Kusadasi, not impressed really the first time we visited was early evening and we were constantly harassed by pushy shop workers trying to get you to buy things. Only went 1 other time when the market was on (Wednesday), they are pushy in the market but it is more fun. As a guide to buying goods they expect you to barter the price always start with half what they ask for, you will get it for half if you stick to your guns. Handbags and watches are a bit of a minefield, there are so many copies at all different prices - you get what you pay for. I bought a handbag for £5 but also bought handbags for £25 each depends on what quality copy you are looking for. I asked the rep and she said you should expect to pay around £30 for a good copy handbag. Watches you have to be careful there seemed to be 2 grades of copies £40 and £100+. My husband failed to find any without any defect - but he is fussy!!
There are 2 waterparks near to the hotel, Adaland is walking distance but there is a free bus from the hotel not sure on times though. This is a very nice park quite spacious and reasonable for food and drink. Aquafantasy is about 10 tl in a taxi. Please note you can't take food and drink in with you, they search your bags and take it off you, the only thing they let us keep was bottled water. The food and drink is more expensive than Adaland, but again nice park and very clean. Both parks were around £50 to get in for 2 adults and 1 child.
Also visited Ephesus this is well worth a visit. We got the Dolmus instead of going on the organised trip and saved quite a bit doing it this way. Entry fee is 25 tl and free for children.

Other tips;
They take all different currency including pound, turkish lira, dollars and euros you just have to be careful with exchange rates they are offering and they sometimes give change in a different currency so make sure you have a converter.
Phone in hotel room is 1 turkish lira a minute, we used it alot but only got charged 4 tl (about £1.60), there must have been an error.
Spa very good but quite expensive, well worth the turkish bath and full body massage.
I could go one forever but all in all a very good hotel. We met many people who had been to the same hotel several times and loved it.

Room Tip: Hotel seems to be the preferred choice and some of the villas are a bit of a treck. Views from the s...

Stayed in this hotel in May 2012,very impressed with the whole hotel.Rooms were basic but very very clean.Located right next to the beach but beware there is 196 step down to the beach but there is a free little train thing pulled by a tractor that runs from reception/beach every hour.I was overwhelmed by the food in this hotel,being a vegetarian i normally struggle to find anything but the array of food here was excellent my dad actually joked "he wanted to go home as he was sick of eating".The stay were very polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.There is a dlomus bus into the centre of kusadasi which runs from the main gates of the hotel literally every ten minutes and only costs £1 each .My room was located by the small kids pool/ampitheate so at night it was vey noisy due to being so close to the evening entertainment but it stopped by 11pm most nights.In general an excellent hotel ,defo worth a visit

We spent 12 days in June in this marvellous hotel. The park where the club rooms are situated is amazing, beautiful flowers, palmtrees, permanently watered grass with the seaview over them simply breathtaking! Glass lifts are taking us from the lobby to the pool or to the restaurant, while travelling in the elevator, we can enjoy an extraordinary view of the swimming pools and the sea gulf. The whole area is wonderfully created!

The only disturbing factor was the mass everywhere. Mainly the pool area is overcrowded, people lie on the sunbed so close to each other, that you can not move without touching the neighbour. Since the whole hotel area is extremely large, it is strange, that the whole garden is not used for sunbathing, only for crossing it daily several times.

Except for the crowd the hotel is very nice, the food was excellent, everything was top clean.

Room Tip: If you prefer quiet rooms, choose the club rooms in the garden. If you like the busy life, the music...

My husband and I have just returned from a holiday staying at the Ephesus Princess - because it was very early in the season there was only the main self-service restaurant open, Asian restaurant was open but only on Saturday and when I enquired about booking a table it was fully booked. It is quite a noisey hotel, not only from the disco on site but also from the music from a hotel further down on the bay. Having mentioned the downside on the up the staff are very friendly, good choice of food in the restaurant and I am sure when the other restaurants are opened there will be even more choice. They were refreshing the beach area - putting in more beds/umbrellas and laying more sand. The walk down to the beach was fine and I do feel a lot fitter for doing the walk back up! Lots of water sports available and there is a dive centre too (some extra charges) and the sea looked clean and fairly flat for swimming. Ephesus is a must - I have been waiting a long time to visit and it was worth the wait. It is really a family hotel - lots and lots of things for kids to do - kid club, separate pool etc. I nearly didn't mention the spa - we had a Turkish bath which was absolutely amazing followed by a really great massage. The Spa itself is set into a cave in the hillside - just breathtaking.

Room Tip: I would asked for a room away from the entertainment areas - disco goes on to 2am in the morning. T...
