“good value and excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

We were really pleased to have found this place. We chose it because of its Lonely Planet good value recommendation and its location: very close to the otogar, museum, parks and restaurants, the services of Seljuk are only a few minutes walk away. The pension proved to be a good base from which to explore Seljuk, Ephesus and Pamukkale over a few days.
The owner/host and family were great hosts and were very helpful and obliging no matter what we required. A typical Turkish breakfast was served each morning, along with many cups of great Turkish chay Access to the internet for ongoing travel and accommodation was much appreciated.
Our room was spacious and spotless, and the bed comfortable with bedding more than adequate. The en suite however was maybe a little small and the floor and toilet got wet when we showered.

Room Tip: ongoing work at the museum can make the street side a bit noisy during the day

No faults with this cute B&B, our hosts couldn't do enough for us plus brekkie was fresh & delicious, cleanliness A+, even got out washing done in a short amount of time. If you want value for money ++ try it out.

We tried to stay at Hotel Bella, but they were full and recommended this pension to us. We are so thankful for this now. The thing that stands out about this place is the over-the-top quality service from the family that runs this place. Two brothers alternate years living in and running this pension with their family. During our stay we were starting to run low on laundry and we asked the pension if they would wash our laundry for us. For an extremely low fee we had nice clean clothes again without sacrificing time trying to find a laundry-mat or having to pay the exorbitant rates that some places charge for a similar service.

The rooms are kind of small, but clean, and ample sized for our needs. The breakfasts were very fresh and good (standard Turkish Breakfast). The location for breakfast was nice as well, in a sort of back garden with overhanging vines.

The location is withing walking distance to Ephesus (3 kilometers), especially if you want to walk by the tomb of the seven sleepers on your way.

The hosts were a nice couple, and handled some strange behaviour from some other guests staying in the room below us very well (not from our complaint, but we heard about it in the morning!). Breakfast was lovely (it's the same Turkish breakfast you'll find in most places, all seemed quite fresh). The rooms are clean, bright, beds are comfortable and aircon/heating is provided. When we wanted to have a drink in the room the owners gave us a couple of glasses - very obliging! The bathroom was similarly clean, but had trouble with drainage from the shower - a sore point as there are way too many places out there that need to fix this (a bit of drain cleaner might work) - so the bathroom was flooded after two showers. The only other problem was that the website showed costs which we believed were per room but it turned out they were per person - this was not nice to find out at check-out. Assuming this was an honest mistake, the owners should fix this as soon as possible: simply state whether the prices are per room or per person.

Room Tip: The double with ensuite we stayed in was lovely apart from the problem indicated in the review.

i stayed here 3 nights.
location is good. and price is not expensive, these are positive.
but i don't know hosts are friendly. they didn't greet or talk to me.. even if i ask something, it seemed that hey didn't like it. why? i don't know... is it just me who felt that hosts are curt?
breakfast.. i had 3 times.. but not same everyday. second day, i didn't have egg or olives. just some slices of cucumbers, tomatoes and bread. everyone was same. but they didn't excuse any words. it was one of the worst breakfast in turkey.
room was clean but i could smell in the towel. so i changed but new one was same.
these can be a tiny things but i don't recommend you this house. but choice is yours. u can have different experience.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with Adnan, the owner, who with his wife goes out of his way to please his guests and offer tips for travel in the neighbourhood. In May he provided an endless supply of sweetest white mulberries - with a plate each for breakfast (served in the leafy garden) and more available during the day. He's a cycling enthusiast who offered to ride to the coast and collect fresh samphire. Each day I ate at Artemis, the wonderful cheap authentic restaurant he recommended. Location is close to action but in an interesting old neighbourhood where life goes on in the traditional way. I stayed longer than I'd planned in charming Selcuk.

Room Tip: Most rooms are quiet - plenty to choose from

Really nice and spacious room with a nice space for breakfast. Not a lot of English spoken but they certainly went out of their way to help.
