“French Food in Istanbul - Who Knew!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

We had a great dinner at La Bries, dishes sampled included the onion soup, duck filled ravioli, small rack of lamb chops and my a liver lyonnaise that was great. Wine prices were moderate, we bought by the glass.

“A fine 'treasure' in the old streets of Istanbul”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Wandering around in İstiklal Avenue and as you walk in to those small streets you never think you are going to find this beautifully decorated french brasserie with a cuisine that will satisfy you. As far as i observed, the cook's experienced on the french cuisine, the wine list is O.K . I would definitely recommend you to visit this little french brasserie especially for couples.

“A tres pleasant alternative!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

Indeed a very pleasant alternative to the abundance of Turkish and assorted International restaurants in Istanbul.

A small restaurant close to the Marmara Pera hotel and the new Aperitivo bar - La Brise is a quaint but slightly cramped experience and offers some light food relief to those that yearn for pork products that are often hard to come by in most of this city.

All in all a nice experience and well worth a try if you find yourself clamouring for something a bit more western european....for those familiar with the Cafe Rouge brand in UK this is the level of standard that we were reminded of - a marker for some of you I hope.
