“Excellent quality seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2011

We didn't intentionally eat here. My husband needs to nibble for supper. So we drop by. The ambience and the view of the restaurant is fab, facing the bosphorous sea and ciragan palace. But it was late, i was exhausted so i decided to take it in my room. Buoy it was good. Not very expensive by a five star hotel standard. We had fish, it was the freshest and tasties meal. The portion is big too. We ask for a fillet and there were 2 pieces, enough for two people. The turkish rice was delicious. We ordered appetizer too. Everything is delicious. They also have dessert buffee for 20lira. I might give it a try tomorrow. Wonderful meal... :)

“Elegant, Opulent, and Expensive - Put It On Your Lifetime Bucket List!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

The Sunday brunch at Laledan is opulent, elegant, and expensive (but not any pricier than top-line Sunday brunches in NYC, for example).

It had long been on my "bucket list" for a once-in-a-lifetime" can't-miss luxury blowout. Since then, we've been back more than a dozen times. (Our Turkish family keeps us returning to Istanbul anyway, but they know that "Sunday is Ciragan Day" for my husband and me.)

Watching the tanker traffic heading to the Black Sea and Russia (or towards the Bosphorus and the Aegean) through those huge winodws is always a treat. If the weather is warm, we sit on the terrace closer to the water. Afterwards, we stroll thorugh the gardens near the pool and visit the in-house exhibits. Note: This is a rather "adult" experience - somewhat sedate - but Ciragan's Kempinski Hotel owners maintain a separate children's room complete with costumed clowns/chaperones and tons of toys.

The menu varies seasonally, but is always over-the-top delicious. The service, selection, plating and ambience can't be topped. Laledan became my addiction. My heartfelt advice - put it on YOUR bucket list if your travels take you to Istanbul!
