Stayed in Tulip Guesthouse on the first week of July 2013. It's about 10 minutes walk from the Sultanahmet tram stop. Initially was hard to locate but with the help of some locals we found the guesthouse. Was greeted by Ensin. We were given a triple room at the very top floor and I must say that in all my travelling experience, Tulip guesthouse can be given the title of the most well kept guesthouse. Everything from the linens down to the bathroom is dust and dirt free. The breakfast served was a simple Turkish Breakfast buffet style. If i were to return to Istanbul in the near future Tulip Guesthouse would still be my choice!

We stayed here on our last night in Istanbul. It was very hard to find, even our cab driver had to stop and ask several other cab drivers for directions. The decor is a little shabby, but the staff is very nice. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was traditional and pretty tasty. The best part is the wonderful views from the upper floors. It may have been our room location, but it was extremely noisy. The call to prayer seemed to start right outside our window. Convenient location to major landmarks, including the Blue Mosque.

I've been at Tulip Guest House in february 2013 with my mom. We steyed in a small room at the first floor. The Guest House is familiar and nice, small but really nice. The room was small but with everything, a guardarobe, a small bathroom with shower, a confor4tabgle double bed. WEe slept very good at night, with no noisy and really warm. The braskfast in the morning was tipically Turkish with jems, olives, cheese, tea, coffee, cakes and a really kind service. The guy at the reception was really nice and up to help us for everything we might need. The3 relationship between proce and quality was more then perfect! I hope they will keep on going!!

During our two week vacation in Turkey we stayed in eight hotels including two 5 star hotels. However, our best choice among all our accommodations during this trip is the Tulip Guest House for several reasons. The first reason would be the friendliness, helpfulness and positive attitude of the Tulip staff (Ensin and Mesut). The second reason is the location of Tulip and 2-3 minute walking distance to Topkapi Palace, H. Sophia and Sultan Ahmet. We also enjoyed the breakfasts at Tulip. Although the sewerage system (like most small hotels in this historic district of Istanbul) was not up to modern standards, but we did not find that to be a major problem. Next time we go to Istanbul, Tulip Guest House will be the first place we contact for our accommodations.

Room Tip: Get a larger room if you stay in your room for long durations during the day.

overall we had a pleasant stay in Tulip. The room and the bathroom was nice and clean. Perfect location, only a few step from the main attraction in Sultan Ahmet. The staffs were very nice and friendly. The view from the breakfast room was very beautiful.

First of all the location is perfect! About 10 min from Aya Sofia. The staff is really helpful with everything, they even carry your baggage on the big stairs. The room and the bath are small, but really cute and clean! The breakfast was good!!! And the wifi works well too. Loved!

Tulip is in an excellent spot for tourists- right around the corner from the must-see mosques and museums while also being a 30-second walk to a strip of excellent Turkish budget restaurants. Staff are exceedingly nice here too. Only downside is that the rooms are quite small, but that's true across the city- it's not like Tulip's rooms are significantly smaller in comparison. A good, solid 3.5 out of 5 b&b.
