My stay at the Tulip Guesthouse was perfect. It is clean, good location, nice staff. I loved the short walk to the tram and the helpful staff. My room, behind the registration desk, was a little noisy at times, but I appreciated being on the first floor. Upper floor rooms would probably be quieter.

The guesthouse is only few minutes walk from all the main attractions in Sultahanamet but iti is also located in a quiet spot, ideal if you want to relax and sleep away from noisy streets. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and breakfast is served in a cozy and lovely room at the top floor with amazing views onto the sea. Fairly priced compared to other options only few meters away! Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: Ask for room on the second floor with sea view and small dining table!

The Tulip Guesthouse is a wonderful hostel located in Sultahanamet and mere minutes away from the Aya Sofya and other amazing attractions. Metin, his family and staff were gracious hosts--funny, charming, and helpful. We stayed in the comfortable and clean dorm room with bunkbeds, fresh sheets, and access to two clean bathrooms. There's a beautiful view from the breakfast room, and the breakfast spread itself is delicious. It's a safe, friendly, clean and comfortable hostel to stay in and I can't recommend this place highly enough!

This was the second time for us in Istanbul and Tulip Guesthouse. The hotel is perfectly located in the proximity of all important places to visit. Metin is the perfect host (thanks for the tip with the highway). Ask him all you want to know and he will help you. If you do not have programmed what will you do he will make you the schedule depending on your time. We had the breakfast on the top floor with a splendid view of the Bosphorus. Special thanks for the lady who prepared the breakfast: try the special pie made fresh every morning on the spot.
The rooms and bathrooms are very clean.
For sure we will come back for the third time.

This place is a great base for exploring Istanbul - especially for the first time. We stayed on the bottom floor room near reception - which was quite quiet and dark but might not be appropriate for light sleepers.

The guesthouse is very well run. The reception is always staffed by one of three friendly guys who are always cheery and provide good information. Breakfast is excellent, a very good choice of fruits, breads and yoghurt ect served in on the top floor with a great view of the Istanbul.
