“Great location, cozy hotel, awesome staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

We went to sirkeco mansion my wife and I in april 2014 for 5 nights. The location is pretty great being next to sultan ahmet and topkapi palace along with most of the other sites in the area. Plus its located on a more quieter street. Its right next to the tramway which makes it super convenient. The hotel inside is really cozy and the rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty good along with their lunch/dinner menu. The best thing about the hotel though is their staff! Very friendly and accomodating, they always helped us with whatever we needed and were extremely professional, prepared and hospitable. My hats go off to enver, araz, furkan, Muhammed and all the other staff that helped us during our stay in Istanbul.

We stayed at this hotel in early June. It was so good that we returned there later in the month.
The owner Faruk Boyaci is a visionary leader who selects and retains his staff on the basis of their belief and commitment to customer service. It shows in everything they do.
One service that amazed us were the complimentary walking tours. Not the usual tourist routes and guided by members of staff who clearly love what they do.
This hotel is wonderfully located to walk to (or take the tram) Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Galatea Bridge, the waterfront etc.
While the rooms may not have the visual wow factor, they are comfortable, and have everything you could want.
The best advice we were given by the staff was to buy a travel card that we could top up, rather than pay for each separate tram, metro, mamaray and ferry trip. Much cheaper and far more convenient. You can get a card at reception and simply top it up. It saved us a lot of hassle. The Istanbul card was also useful - it means no queuing for entry tickets and that saved enormous amounts of time.
You can also get 10% discount for cash, a free transfer to the airport and a dinner if you book on line.
The hamam is also worth a visit.
This is one of those places/organizations that proves the power of outstanding leadership. Faruk Boyaci walks his talk , is passionate about Istanbul and for ways to improve his customers experience. It flows through to his staff.

Room Tip: Go as high up as possible and away from the lift/stairwell. Some guests are inconsiderate or are sim...

I stayed at the Sirkeci Mansion in July with a friend who had been to Istanbul on five previous occasions - and stayed at this hotel four times. To be honest, his enthusiasm for the hotel, the staff and the location seemed a little over-the-top until I had the chance to experience Sirkeci Mansion for myself.

The team at this hotel want you to understand that you are a valued guest. From the minute you arrive, you will experience the genuine service ethos that drives every member of the staff. You are welcomed by a member of the team who takes you for tea and reviews hotel amenities.

Our room was not large (which is the norm in historic cities) but it was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The bathroom was modern and clean with lovely towels and robes. The women who cleaned daily did a fantastic job.

The location of this hotel is very important. Not only is it within an easy walk to many of Istanbul's most famous sites and museums, it very close to a tram stop which will get you everywhere else you need to go. As trams in Istanbul stop only at stations, not street corners, this proximity cannot be under-valued.

The hotel amenities are excellent. There is a hamam (Turkish bath), a sauna, small pool, and fitness club in the basement. For 45 euros we had an attendant perform the ritual - which was very worth while. On the roof is a lovely patio where dinner is served with an excellent view of the city. You can also sunbathe up there if you are taking a break from sight-seeing. There are two computers with printers set up in the lobby. Wifi is available throughout the hotel.

Several tours are offered weekly to guests - at no charge. I attended one where we visited a market with one of the senior staff members who grew up in the area. It was very informative and interesting to see the city with a local who was so knowledgable and well-educated.

Staff were quick to help me understand local customs and find services - like a pedicure.

Breakfast buffet is included and offers a selection of fruits, cheeses, meats, yogurt, granola etc. as well as hot dishes and a pastry selection. They will bring you a cappuccino if you ask! The service is superior. The prepared food was the least interesting part of the experience at this hotel. It was not bad but it was not particularly flavourful or interesting. The indifferent food should not be deterrent as the positives outweigh the negatives.

After a week at Sirkeci Mansion I felt myself sad to leave and looking forward to returning. The staff really are the best that I have met.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors on the front so you can see over the walls of Topkapi Palace and...

Excellent stay in the hotel for two nights - at beginning and end of a walking holiday - in June/July. On arrival staff incredibly helpful in helping us book overnight bus and other arrangements. Standard room was comfortable and breakfast excellent. On our return the staff remembered us, upgraded us into a wonderful deluxe room which was available on our arrival, despite being early morning. Showed equal attention to all guests. Nothing to fault. Location also excellent - quiet for this area.

Room Tip: 4th floor de luxe rooms with balcony overlooking Tokapi if you can afford! Our standard room was fin...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon and had the best experience ever. Sadly I got sick on the plane so I was not well when we arrived, but their staff was just lovely and offered anything and everything they could to get me feeling better. The room was lovely and spotless, the staff was never anything but sweet and accommodating, the location was perfect, and they included tons of personal touches such as flowers on the bed, a bottle of wine, and other gifts to help us celebrate on our honeymoon. Their breakfast was also incredible. We lost some important papers in our room as we were departing and three staff members dropped what they were doing to help us find them. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will be staying here. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The service, attention to detail, the rooms, breakfast was all outstanding. Every person on the staff was extremely respectful and took care of our every need with a smile. I cannot think of even one thing that was lacking. When a larger room was available we were accommodated in it without an extra charge and we really appreciate it. We stayed here for 5 nights and the 1st night we were upgraded to a family room which was essentially two rooms with a connecting door. Our teen daughter loved the privacy. The next 4 days we were in a superior room with a balcony overlooking Gulhane park. It was a wonderful room, furnishings were extremely plush and upscale.

The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance to all the historic sights. We would definitely come and stay at the hotel again if we are lucky to visit Istanbul again but I would meanwhile strongly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
