“Perfect Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

I stayed in this hotel with my husband in August 2013, and I have to say this was a very romantic place. Our room was not big, but very clean and with a comfortable bed (I am always picky about it in any country), nice stylish bathroom, and it all came with a good hotel service and excellent restaurant on the last floor of the hotel building. We were so tired the first evening of our arrival, and this restaurant with an absolutely amazing view was our introduction to he Turkish cuisine. We stayed in Istanbul for three days, experienced a lot of restaurants, but the last night we decided to go to the Tria hotel restaurant again, it was that good. One more important detail - the hotel's location. You will be in a waking distance to all key places. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And don't forget to ask for Izmir upon your arrival. He will take a good care of you. Have a good trip and enjoy every minute in Istanbul!

Every time I go to Istanbul I stay at this hotel, and not just for its location near the Ayasofya, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. I stay at this hotel every time because of the staff. They are incredibly welcoming and so very friendly and helpful. I saw some familiar faces and finally got some names with the right people. Erhan and Birol are the two people at the front desk that stick out in my mind the most, and I'm very appreciative of Birol's help when our car taking us to the airport was late because of a mix-up. There were new faces as well (a rather tall man who works in the morning and has a rather deep voice) and they're just as kind and helpful. The restaurant on the other side of the hotel is absolutely delicious, and you simply must have the chocolate souffle for dessert. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you want a great view, try booking one of the deluxe rooms on the upper floors.

My daughter and I stayed at the Tria for 10 days Aug/Sept 2013. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The location is wonderful; near the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya but on a quiet street. The staff is professional, helpful and very friendly. We requested a deluxe room with a view and what a view we had. The big windows in our room looked out on the Sea of Marmara where we could watch the almost continuous boat traffic. The Jacuzzi tub in the room was a bit difficult for a senior citizen (me) to get in and out of and you had to be a bit of a contortionist to get to the room closet. Those minor inconveniences were more than made up for by the fact that the room was always spotless and the view was stellar. The roof terrace/restaurant was excellent and not to be missed. There the staff was just as friendly and professional as the rest of the hotel staff. The view is amazing and the food is excellent. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and restaurant.

My trip took place last month September, I stayed with my family n friends. We were a very loud australian, English and American crowd, they were a bit over whelmed by our lively crowd, but they were very hospitable. The managers were great and helpful. My very very special thanks to the tria restaurant situated on the roof, managed by Husain. What a wonderful fellow, so friendly so attentive, serving easily the best food on the block and there a literally hundreds of restaurants. Husain epitomises the the Turkish hospitality we were told about. Please take the time to visit the tria roof restaurant.

We just concluded our first visit to Istanbul, staying 6 nights at the Tria Hotel. Before reserving this property, we read lots of reviews on line. The recent Tripadvisor reviews are the ones that solidified our choice of Tria. This is the perfect place to stay in our opinion. We had a king-size room (#401) on the 4th floor. It was very clean, well-organized and with a great view out to the Marmara Sea and over to the Asian side of Istanbul. The rooftop restaurant was directly above our room. Food, service and views at the restaurant were excellent. Particular thanks to two very fine waiters, Ihsan and Huseyin, who made us feel quite welcome and comfortable. Also thanks to Erhan, the receptionist at the front desk who set up two excellent tours for us, one private tour with a local guide and one all-day tour of the city by bus and boat. After these tours, we felt very comfortable to be on our own by taking walking tours in the neighborhood, taxis to various locations, and the tram. A 5-minute walk two blocks up the hill from the hotel will bring you to the main tourist attractions of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkopi Palace. There are tons of restaurants and shops in the area. We particularly enjoyed our pasta dinner with the local beer (Efes) at a restaurant (Babylonia) around the corner from the hotel. We found the Turkish people and tourists to be extremely friendly and polite and the whole city to be very clean. Actually, 6 days were not enough. We will go back, and definitely will reserve Tria again!

Room Tip: The 4th floor deluxe rooms are nicely appointed and have great views.

We had put in a lot of research to pick up a comfortable and reasonably priced hotel and corresponding to our research and reviews - our stay at Tria hotel was quite remarkable with particular reference to the following - friendly and helpful staff; huge breakfast spread; centrally located (major tourist destinations is within 2 kms radius); huge-line up of restaurants across the street; spacious room and neat bedding. - All this at a very reasonable price!
