“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Good location for exploring the historical sights of Istanbul. A little on the pricey side and the breakfast room is in need of refurbishing. The staff and very friendly and helpful - do try the Turkish Baths they recommend! We had a family room which was a bit small but the location outweighed that as we were out exploring most of the time.

what to say about this hotel? as a sugestion, just throw off that old awful TV in every room, because the rest is more than good for that price! staff is lovely and helpful, they helped us in everything we needed. Hotel can be small for big families and children, but perfect por two persons, no stairs. Perfect location for a first time in Istanbul, just in front of beautiful mosques, just by the side of tramway station to get all Istanbul! Breakfast, good, with an impresive view over Sultanahmet Square. Beds can be better, but they are ok.

Room Tip: get those to the front side of the street.

Hotel is known for romantic view of Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque, & front door access to key tram line. A good package for young & practical tourists. But I also experienced a friendly management willing to help with unexpected booking complications.

We stayed here for one night in September, 2014. Overall this is an excellent hotel right in the heart of the tourist area in Istanbul. The room was on the small side, but clean, quiet, and the staff were outstanding. They spoke English very well, had superb recommendations, and really were dedicated to helping us enjoy our stay. It merits an "excellent" rating, but there are a few other things to mention. The hotel isn't in the nicest area of the city, there was no elevator, and there are far too many people trying to sell you stupidly overpriced carpets when you head out of the hotel towards the Aya Sophia or Blue Mosque. Be forewarned....if you say that you will visit their shop after they kindly give you directions towards your destination, they will be waiting at the exit for you, and are quite aggressive with their sales tactics. Again, no reflection at all on the excellent hotel, but an environmental hazard for the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a map of the area and DO NOT tell the carpet selling parasites in the area you'll visit...

Our team of 11 people came to run the Istanbul Marathon and this hotel's location could not have been more perfect : the shuttle busses to start line was just around the corner, and finish line right in front at the Ayia Sofia Mosque by the hotel. From our bedroom we could see the beautiful lit Blue Mosque at night. Breakfast was exemplary turkish, and the friendly staff helped with everything imaginable to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The tram line right in front was super convenient and you have a walking distance to Cemberlitas Hamam and Bazar.

Room Tip: Make sure you book a room overlooking the mosque's (street side) ( if you don't mind sharing...

The perfect place to stay to visit the historic sites of Old Town Istanbul. Staff very helpful and a lovely full breakfast on the terrace. So convenient to walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Very safe at night to sit and people watch.

Room Tip: Hotel has a nice terrace with the sea view.
