““comfortable hotel with excellet location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

All I can say is that I am so glad I can trust Trip Advisor to pick my hotel.
I travelled to Istanbul with my friend and we stayed for 5 nights in this hotel in January 2012.The hotel location is very good, next to the Taksim square and Metro Station and Istiklal street are within a walking distance.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable and includes all the basic things a traveler might need and everything in the room worked perfectly.
the breakfast buffet was nice and satisfying.
The staff was amazing, and did everything they possibly could to make our stay comfortable. Many thanks to staff and special thanks to Mr.Cengiz Kaçar  for helping out. I will certainly return to this hotel in my next trip to Istanbul.
 I highly recommend this hotel

I spent a week at the TMH recently. Overall it's a decent hotel that most people should be comfortable in. It doesn't have a lot of frills but it was clean.

The staff was helpful and courteous. I wouldn't say they were overly friendly, they kept their distance but were always available for directions, suggestions and even kept an eye out for my traveling companion to the point of letting us know when we kept missing each other in the lobby.

The breakfast spread is better than many that I have experienced in Turkey with a wide range of cheese and meat as well as fresh vegetables, breads and cereals. The only disappointment for me was the scrambled eggs. There was a large vat of them each morning that were runny enough for me to look at them twice before I was certain they were eggs. I'm sure her are some people who like their eggs runny, I'm not one of them.

The coffee was very good.

My room, while clean and well appointed, was very small and rather noisy. I would suggest getting a high floor (I was on 4 which is the 5th floor in western numbering) and not on the front side of the hotel. I was also surprised to find two small twin beds. I was [sadly] alone so I just needed one but i am used to queen beds when I travel so it was odd.

Overall I would recommend this hotel as a saw bet at a good price.

Room Tip: High floor away from the front.

Overall:
Comfortable & happy stay. Would recommend this to anyone who would like to stay close to the action n buzz near Taksim. I enjoyed it.

Good:
1. Decently priced compared to other hotels in the vicinity
2. Good location. A stones throw away from Istiklal Caddesi (Taksim). Metro right in front too
3. Wonderful Bosphorous view (if you get the right room)
4. Hospitable, smiling staff
5. Decent internet speed (depending on the location of your room)

Ok:
1. Breakfast: Limited vegetarian options & same menu offered everyday
2. Bathrooms could have been bigger

Bad:
1. No iron and board offered. You need to use their laundry services (which is very good for a decent charge @ 1-3 TL/piece). It was critical for me as mine was a business trip

Room Tip: Ask for a Bosphorous view for a much more quieter ambience. Also, rooms which aren't in the corn...

We stayed at the Metropark twice during our two-week vacation in Turkey, for a total of 7 nights. We couldn't have picked a nicer place. The room was perfect - small, but more than adequate for two people. The wi-fi service was fast and reliable, the front desk was attentive and helpful with trip planning, and the breakfast was fresh and satisfying. The hotel is located across the street from the metro/funicular and a bus depot which will take you to all the major sites in Istanbul. And of course, Istiqlal Street - located right next to the hotel - is an experience unto itself, especially on a Saturday night.

Bottom line - we look forward to staying at the Metropark on our next visit!

Room Tip: You can ask for a room with a view of the Bosphorous if you'd prefer to minimize noise from the...

I was there on my honeymoon ........ when in Istanbul all you need is a quiet place to stay after your exhausting day of going everywhere actually i found this in Metropark hotel, beautiful room clean very friendly staff and i loved their breakfast buffet and the most thing i loved about it is it's location which is very near to Istiklal street where all the shopping occurs and all of this is for an affordable price 100 Euros which is pretty much a good price.
