Great location, great staff. Good value, nice roof terrace... Best place in Istanbul....

And do ask for the airport pickup... Very handy.... And only 25euro.....

You can also order food from outside and have it delivered to the roof terrace...

Room Tip: Maisonette if you are with children.....

Great chic hotel. Great location, incredible staff and roof-top terrace to boot! This was one of our first stops on our honeymoon. We loved the location, not too touristy but close to the spice market, grand bazaar, Aya Sofia, blue mosque, and more. The English speaking staff was incredible answering our every question and querying during breakfast (which is included and magnificent!!) about our needs wants and desires. The rooms were a bit small but perfect for someone not spending much time there, andvery clean. Roof top bar orders food from a next door restaurant, which is delicious and bartender wait staff also very friendly. Thanks hotel Niles!

Room Tip: Room on 5th floor is easy walk to roof-top terrace/bar and breakfast :)

We stayed at Hotel Niles for 5 nights in mid- June. It is a great hotel that is very immaculate and it has spacious room. We were in a suite on the 5th floor. I especially loved the rooftop terrace . The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. It was nice to have a drink at the bar in the evenings as well. One of the waiters, Ilker, was so nice and we even ordered takeout from a nearby restaurant to eat on the rooftop when we were too tired to go out at night after sightseeing. The location was close to the major tourist sights and the tram was just a few minutes away. It is a great way to get around the mostly congested city. I hope to return to this hotel someday!

Our 3 week trip started in Istanbul and Hotel Niles was the perfect choice. The staff is friendly accommodating, knowledgable and extreamly helpful. The roof garden is perfect for the breakfast buffet (which is plentiful and fresh) and also a perfect spot for an afternoon drink or evening aperitif. The value is great and everything is very close to all the sights as well as the location being in a quiet street. I highly recommend this establishment!

Room Tip: Our room was just off the street on the 4th floor and was fine with regards to noise or space

Excellent hotel - one of the best I have ever stayed in and well deserved of their Tripadvisor award. We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of June/beginning of July, in a "Junior Suite". It was great value, the room was spacious, nicely decorated in a luxurious "ottoman style" with a beautiful marble hammam bathroom (with lovely bath products). Breakfast was amazing, with a great choice of food, and the hotel's roof terrace (for guests only) is beautiful with an abundance of plants and a lovely view across to the sea. There is also a nice terrace area downstairs where there are often sweet treats/tea that you can help yourself to, which is a lovely touch. Although the hotel is in a slightly less touristy area (round the corner from what seems to be the shoe-making district), it's walking distance from the main sights (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar), and other sights are reached easily by tram (tram stop is 2 mins walk). Staff at the hotel are excellent - very friendly, efficient and helpful. Had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The hotel is easily reached by public transport from Atatürk airport (metro then tram, then a 2 min...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Niles for a 5 day citybreak. We booked well in advance and opted for a room with a Turkish bath. We got a good rate and if you talk to the staff you can arrange a good discount for cash payment which I did. We also opted for the hotel collection/return service to and from the airport which was extremely efficient. The hotel will take dollars US, Euros, GBP and Turkish lira.
Hotel Niles is quite small, quaint and with a very personal friendly service. It is located somewhat off the beaten tourist track and there is no dedicated car parking. Each room is immaculately decorated and furnished in mock-ottoman style and you can check in/check out at any time of the day. The rooms have AC but also opening windows if you prefer fresh air. It was well worth the extra for the Turkish bath - I am hooked!
The rooftop terrace bar and restaurant is outstanding. Breakfast buffet is a mixture of western cooked, European continental and Turkish so most people can find something that suits. At other times the hotel menu offers a varied selection, excellent value and large portions. The bar service is excellent. My greatest delight was to sit on the terrace at 2230 each evening with a cold Turkish beer, watching the myriad of lights from passing ships in the Bosphurus and listening to the last call to prayers for the day from the local mosque. Quite a magic moment for me.
This is an excellent hotel. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Istanbul.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a Turkish Batch.

My husband and I were travelling to England from Hong Kong in early June and decided to have a 3 day stopover in Istanbul on the way over. We read very good reports about Hotel Niles in Trip Advisor and booked three nights from 7 June.

We were very anxious before going because of the riots but were re-assured by the hotel that it was located in the old part of town far away from the demonstrations.

We were very glad that we didn't cancel our trip as we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Niles. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the morning on 7 June and were given a very warm welcome by the Front Office Manager, Kemal who served us with Turkish tea in the lobby.

He then invited us to enjoy a complimentary breakfast on the roof. The roof garden was lovely and so relaxing with views of the Marmara Sea. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of hams and cheeses and a fantastic selection of homemade jams. We were really made to feel at home which is just what we needed after the long flight from Hong Kong.

A young lady, Hacer, a graduate from Istanbul University, came to talk to guests at breakfast and welcome them to the hotel. She ensured we were settling in comfortably, saw to any special requirements and arranged tours. She arranged a boat trip for us on the Bosphorus going out to the Black Sea. This was a most interesting and enjoyable day out.

The hotel made a special effort to let us have our room before the official check in time. After breakfast our room was ready and we had a gorgeous suite decorated in Ottoman style. We then went down to the lobby and the Front Office Manager provided us with maps and directions of places to visit so we could explore on our own. The hotel is in a great location and within easy walking distance of the major attractions, the Grand Bazaar, Palace and Blue Mosque. There is a tram at the top of the road if you prefer rather than walk.

The hotel will make recommendations of restaurants for lunch or dinner with pickup from the hotel. One restaurant we particularly enjoyed was Amedros serving Turkish and western food in a convivial atmoshere.

The hotel has a high standard of cleanliness and we found the maid service to the room to be excellent.

We certainly intend to visit Istanbul again and stay at Hotel Niles.
