This was the last leg of our trip around Turkey. After getting hassled by a taxi driver, the reception at the Niles Hotel was a welcome site! We were given a succinct and helpful quick summary of the tourist area (we had already walked around Sultanahmet a few days prior, but still found the concierge very helpful!). In fact, customer service throughout our stay was great. The hotel is a GREAT price, the staff is very knowledgable, the complimentary breakfasts come with a view on the roof & balcony, and who doesn't love an afternoon tea break? After a morning of museums, my friend ended up taking a nap and I could enjoy some quiet time on the roof without haven't to worry about wandering around Istanbul as a lone young woman. If you can, pay a little more for the nicer rooms.
