We wanted to stay somewhere beautiful and clean for our anniversary close to Sultan Ahmet area. (center of all historical area). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean , cold A/C with daily western style services. The staff went out of their ways to ensure that we are happy and satisfied. The breakfast was great with lots of varieties. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone to stay here.

My wife and I stayed a few weeks ago, and were impressed. The hotel takes pride in providing a service which ensures clean rooms and a level of service which is rare.
We checked out the hotel on the Internet, and then phoned to confirm details. The hotel is small – I guess it only has about 10 rooms.
We were collected at the airport as part of the deal, which worked very well.

It is well-located, (within 5 minutes walk) for the primary tourist venues, such as the Blue Mosque, the Haigh Sophia, and the Topkapi Palace

Our room had a large double bed and a single. I was a bit disappointed that there was no comfortable chair but my wife tells me the room was great, so clearly I’m wrong!

In the old city there is no shortage of mosques and each is equipped with loud-speakers so that you don’t miss the opportunity to listen to the local mullah calling the faithful to prayer. Unfortunately at any given point in Sultanhammet you can hear three or four mosques competing in volume and anguish for the available Muslims to come and visit. The net effect of this is that there is a regular cacophony. And the good news is………..The hotel has a quiet, secluded garden, which is a god-send, (or perhaps that should be an ‘Allah-send’) and a comforting retreat from the noise outside.

The front desk was manned throughout by English-speakers who had a good command of the language and who seemed always to want to resolve all of our problems and did so; in fact one is an ex-biology teacher who says that he chose to do hotel work because he likes to see happy people, and he is good at making that happen!

All-in-all a good experience.

Highlights:
-Hassle-free transfer to and from Ataturk Airport (30 YTL)

-Selcuk, Mustafa, and the dining room staff did a superb job - friendly service, ample breakfast, complimentary afternoon tea whilst we were waiting for a flight.

-The triple room was very clean and bathroom spotless.

-Sultahmet sights walking distance - Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar (but Spice Bazaar is better value and only 20min walk), Cemberlitas Hamam, Divan Yolu, Haci Bekir ali Muhiddin the original lokum (Turkish delight) shop

-Free internet access was very useful.

-Selcuk gave precise instructions for reaching Istiklal Caddesi in Beyoglu by tram. Great restaurants. He booked a Bosphorus night cruise for us (fresh seafood, very entertaining Turkish dancing) and organised dinner at a seafood restaurant in Kumkapi. You are driven to and from the dinner which is handy.

As a spoiled New Yorker, who has traveled extensively, I can tell you without hesitation, that the Garden House rivals some of the finest hotels worldwide. It is a boutique hotel, with lovely, clean rooms. The location in the Old City is perfect and charming. The staff is warm, delightful and extremely helpful. I stayed in room 103, right off the garden. The room was spacious, bright and beautifully furnished.

If you're looking for delicious food, try Doy Doy, right up the hill from the hotel. Very simple decor, moderately priced ... but, some of the best lamb chops that I've ever tasted. And, they deliver to the Garden House, should you want "room service"!!!
