My family and I just returned from Istanbul, having stayed at the Garden House. The hotel was smaller than I expected with only 12 rooms, but the service was just wonderful. Selcuk and Mustafa looked after all our needs and really topped off the whole stay in Istanbul.

The hotel has large rooms, a delightful garden and is ideally located to Sultanahmet Square and all the main tourist locations in the old city. Being no more than 5 to 10 minutes walk away. But be warned of the slightly steep hill as you approach the square, caused a few problems for my parents. But most people should find it just fine.

The rooms were clean, the hotel staff extremely courteous. Will definitely recommend to friends who might be visiting Istanbul, and I would certainly book again if and when I visit Istanbul again. I've stayed in bigger and fancier hotels, but this is as good as it gets...!

We have just returned from a week at the Garden House Hotel. It was everything that reviewers said it would be and more. Seljuk, Mehmet and Mustafa, "Boo" and the rest of the staff attended to our every need. I don't know at this point whether I'll miss Istanbul or them more. Thanks Seljuk for the tour and Turkish bath recommendations. They were among the highlights of our trip. It was cool when we first arrived, so we were fortunate enough to sleep with our windows open. Their was a nice cross breeze and we were able to immerse ourselves in the sounds and activities of a real Turkish neighborhood. I particularly liked the breakfast and beers in the Secret Garden. Thanks Mehmet for the early coffees. Mehmet-Mustafa says you want a pink PB's T-shirt. What is he talking about?

I am a retail pharmacist and owner of a rental property in Hope Town Bahamas. I know how difficult it is to make all of your customers happy. Maybe I'm easier to please than most because of it, but when I return to Istanbul, I won't stay anywhere else.

We were very impressed by the friendly way we were treated by Mr Selcuk Topcu, the daytime manager and Mr Mustafa Ozduman, the evening manager, but also by the other staff! We were really made to feel at home by the good care, good service, very nice rooms, good food, good advice and very important: improvisation when needed!! The rooms have been recently redecorated and are very comfortable; free internet in the lobby. The location is good, in a nice and quite part of the 'old town', yet within walking distance of all attractions of the old part of the city. This hotel is good value for the money. Staying seven nights was too short, we hope to come back and will certainly choose this hotel again and will recommend it to friends and relatives. Arie and Louise Fakkert, The Netherlands

I just returned from Istanbul May 12. My stay at the Garden House Hotel was wonderful. It was a comforting feeling to arrive at the Garden House after the long 22 hour journey from California. Even at midnight Mustafa and Mehmet welcomed me warmly. Upon entering my room, it was a pleasure to find a truly inviting, lovely room (with modern bath) that poved to be very comfortable for my long stay; the soft linens and scented towels were a plus.

The staff are all great. Selcuk, the manager, gives each guest his special attention, as do Mustafa and Mehmet also at the desk. All are knowlegeable about their city, friendly and extremely helpful always taking the time to answer questions of their guests. The comfort and needs of the guests are definitely the number one priority at the Garden House. The breakfast buffet is abundant and good. The restaurant is open for dinner with an excellent menu, which is a plus after a busy day. The Garden House is situated within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and much more, all the must sees of historic Istanbul.

As a frequesnt visitor to Istanbul, I feel that the Garden House is my home in Istanbul. I look forward to returning there soon. I will highly recommend the Garden House Hotel, Istanbul to my friends.
