We (a party of 4) arrived at the Garden House on 31/03/2007 for 7 nights. On arrival Selcuk the manager made us feel very welcome and gave information on Istanbul and the various trips we could book. Both rooms were very nicely decorated and very clean and kept that way throughout our stay. The room was well soundproofed and we had no bother with noise from adjoining rooms or the street.

Istanbul is a great place to visit and the Garden House is nicely situated for visiting the main sites. The only slight drawback would be that old or infirm people might find the hilly streets hard going. There are plenty of good restaurants within a reasonable walking distance of the hotel.

The buffet breakfast was good with a reasonable selection, and omelettes could be ordered. All the staff were very friendly and eager to please, the nicest we have met on our travels so far. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending Istanbul and the Garden House Hotel to our friends.

Garden House Hotel is a nice place to stay in the heart of istanbul. It's located in a quit little street in Sultanahmet, very close to Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. The room were we stayed was very nice and incredibly clean. I would suggest to go there if you decide to spend a few days in Istanbul.

We have just returned from a three day stay in the Garden House Hotel in Istanbul. For the price this was the best hotel we have stayed in anywhere in Europe. The room was large with a spacious and very clean bathroom. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The early morning singing from the nearby mosque was a first for us and we enjoyed the experience of a new culture. The hotel is situated minutes from the main sights of this area of Istanbul - The Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, and the Hagia Sophia amongst many. We had a nice meal in the restaurant on the first night.
Highly recommended.

If you are travelling to Istanbul, then this is definitely the place to stay. I have just spent four days there and having not travelled to this patr of the world before staying at the Garden House definitely made the trip easier in respect to the advice the staff offered in getting around Istanbul and tips on what to do.

The accomodation itself was definitely 5 star - I could not fault it. The meals were extremely good and being a chef myself could not fault them. The biggest plus though was the personal attention by the staff who bent over backwards to help myself and my travelling companions enjoy Istanbul.

If you are travelling to Istanbul I suggest you book early and stay here as they made Istanbul the highlight of our world trip to 9 countries.

I will definitely be staying here again without hesitation in 2009.
