Nice little hotel (8 rooms) in the heart of Sultanahmet touristic and historic area, owner and personnel extremely nice, helpful and friendly. Walking distance from major attraction like Aya Sofia, Topkapi, Blue Mosque. Breakfast included and also very nice for the begging of the day. A lots of restaurants around area, coffee bars and all you need fro good vacation. City itself, needless to say, one of the most impressive city in the world. Small problem could be overnight sleep, since it is really in the heart of entertaining area. On the other hand being in Istanbul all day make you sleep well no matter what. Strongly recommended.

Stayed in Gul Sultan for 4 nights at a very affordable price.. the staff at reception were very friendly and gave quite a bit of information about the city.. the tours to take etc.. the rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed.. the location is just perfect - just a 5-7 minute walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.. the street is filled with hotels and it does tend to get a bit noisy during the nights however it did not bother us..

The breakfast in the hotel is decent but not the best.. a few things they could improve on is to give normal cereal bowls rather than very small cups.. since i was a vegetarian my choices were limited.. the breakfast staff do not speak english at all so it gets a bit difficult to communicate with them.. overall the stay was pleasant and cosy for us to rebook into it if we are to return to the city or recommend it to others.. the view from the roof of the hotel is quite amazing and on a clear day you could see the islands off the main coast!

Good hotel. Great owner!
The hotel is located close o Hagia Sofia in great touristic district Sultanahmet.
It has good connection to transport. Convenient to get from either Ataturk or Sabiha airports. Great place for family trips and for those who like walking sightseen.

Room tip: Rooms on upper floors have better view on the street and Hagia Sofia
