Excelent choice! We stayed in Istanbul, at Bekdas hotel in October, for 4 nights. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is great and the staff is very nice!We recommend this hotel, also for its location, fairly close to Grand Bazaar.

Great hotel,Good location
Not to far from the main attractions
On a very steep road
You will get a lot of shop owners hassling you to go in smile and walk on
The hotel is in the fashion/clothe district (basically a lot of leather coats and jean shops)

Stayed at the Bekdas Hotel, Istanbul arrived October 13. One street off the Main Street in Istanbul great location. Walk to restaurants, shopping . Walk to Grand Bazaar. Buffet breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were small. Older hotel but has been renovated and updated. In our room for 2 people, we had a double bed and a single bed. Used the single bed for suit cases as there was no room for them. No coffee pot or no way to heat water for coffee in room.
Hotel was difficult to get to as the streets are narrow and very sloped, steep.
We were with a group of 19 from USA, and we had arranged this trip through a tour company.
There was a Doubletree on the Main Street which was more accessable.
The most positive thing about this hotel was the access to the town of Istanbul.

Room Tip: ask about the beds in rooms. Some couples traveling with us had 2 twin beds. Rooms are very small.

My wife and I recently visited Istanbul, and unfortunately booked at Bekdas hotel. It took more than SEVEN hours to the staff to accommodate us. They figured out many different excuses to convince us that they face serious obstacle for first time in theyr practis and cannot find an empty room for us. The simple truth is that the russian tourist pay for late check out and noone is capable to cope with the room shortige. Rooms are very small, the breackfast is poor. The staff is friendly but the management is owefull. Advice: if it is possible try to avoid this hotel.

The hotel was really simple, clean and nice. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Everything was good except that the rooms were a bit small but it didnt matter because we're not going to spend our time in our rooms! The location was perfect for shopping! Price is fine. As for the breakfast it was okay not bad. I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel for next time :)

The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located near to all the sights you need to visit. The transport is not so far from the hotel, about 2-3 min walk. The staff is very friendly. I would return again someday. I recommend it to all.

Ps: And it is not expensive.

I visit Istanbul for 2 days with my family, the hotel is a pleasant place, but the room was small for 3 people and the breakfast was poor. It was very clean and the bathroom looks very well. The staff was very polite. The hotel is situated in the center, where most of the sights of the city are. As a whole we rest satisfied.
