“The best location for the Bosphorus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

I just got back from Istanbul. I was in the hotel for two weeks and this is my second time in the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel as it is the best in location to enjoy the Bosphorus. The staff are very friendly. The food is good. And the Spa is awesome especially the Turkish Bath with Mr. Ayhan he is the best. I would suggest to stay away from the west side rooms as the air conditioning machines are in their and it is little bit noisy.
In general I strongly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is right on the water in walking distance of great restaurants and nightlife. I loved the rooms and I especially liked the restaurants, which are directly on the water. The service is good, they are super helpful. The food is pretty good. The rooms are very comfortable and new and clean, although the shower is hard to get in and out of, dangerous.

The only thing is that I reserved twin beds and they tried to force me to take a king bed and a roll away, I really had to argue to get the room I reserved. But I finally did get it. Annoying.

A cab from the airport to the hotel is about 55 US dollars, and takes about 45 minutes. A cab to the main sites like the Blue Mosque and Grand Market is about 15 dollars and takes about 15 minutes. It is about 10 minutes from the main cruise ship pier by taxi.

A beautiful hotel in a nice location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a bridge view, so beautiful.

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for your kind comments about Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel, İstanbul. It is a pleasure for us to learn our hotel has met your expectations both in terms of guest rooms, location, culinary offerings, design, view and hospitality.

Our hotel has a fantastic location where the warm and delicate atmosphere of Ortaköy Square welcomes our guests with the stunning view of beautiful Bosphorus. Ortaköy is one of the most popular and elegant places in Istanbul where you can find the best restaurants, coffee shops & nightlife facilities of town.

Our hotel is in 15 minutes distance to Sultanahmet area with Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Topkapi Palace which is the world’s largest palace and was the primary residence of the Ottoman Dynasty for approximately 400 years, Hagia Sophia Museum which has been built on year 360 as church and transformed into a mosque in Sultan Mehmed era and then a museum or Blue Mosque lined with more than 20,000 handmade ceramic tiles. Also 15 minutes distance by taxi to Taksim Square which is a major tourist district of Istanbul. With the opportunity of easy transportation and the relaxing atmosphere it has, our hotel is the perfect place to experience both historical and modern atmosphere of town and to chill out during your trip far from the crowd of the city.

Any words can only limit the sensation. The balkony over the Bosporus, the relaxation can only be understood if one lives them. Excellent room ,service, atmosphere and amenities: hamam, spa, sauna.
Both outside the noisy centre of the town but within walking distance of almost everything.
We plan to visit it again.

This is a very nice hotel, in a nice area and the staff are very helpful! The rooms are nice size and the bathroom is very nice and modern with both separate shower and large saoking tub. The hotel is not inexpensive but I have found that most every thing in Istanbul is comparable to the cost of similar accomodations/dining in the U.S. The buffet breakfast is pricey at 170 TL for 2, about $45 U.S., but it has everything you can imagine and is serviced on the waterfront open air terrace, and is a wonderful way to start each morning, it is enough to keep you happy and full until dinner, with a late afternoon starbucks fix(yes they have them all over!). Ok now for the not so good, we were there for 5 nights over the weekend, friday and saturday nights are very late night in Istanbul. Our room was on the inside of the two ajoining builldings above the late night dance club and the late night dining sushi called Zuma(I have reviewed that as well!). We arrived thursday and all was fine but friday night we were unable to sleep due to loud base thumping of music and then between 3-4am the club closed and it got worse-the access road for the hotel/dining and club is right below and we had motorcycles racing engines, taxis honking and peopoe yelling! The next moring we requested a quieter location and they were able to accommodate us becasue the hotel was not full! So unless you are a really heavy sleeper avoid rooms that overlook this area, the sound just bounces off the buildings and comes right thru the windows!
Traffic in the city is very bad, and you are a distance from most of the site seeing attactions-blue mosque, grand bazarr....take a water taxi-it is very pleasant way to travel!
Also just an aside most off the front desk staff speak perfect english, not so much for other employees, so you may not always get what you request due to the language barrier!

Room Tip: waterfront is best or far side of either building, avoid interior facing rooms of both buildings!

Our hotel has a fantastic location where the warm and delicate atmosphere of Ortaköy Square welcomes our guests with the stunning view of beautiful Bosphorus. Ortaköy is one of the most popular places in Istanbul where you can find the best restaurants, coffee shops & nightlife facilities of town. A great place to relax and enjoy the true beauty of Istanbul during the day apart from the crowd and confusion of city center. With the elegant and fresh ambient it has, our hotel is in 15 minutes distance by taxi to the other famous squares such as Taksim, Nisantasi or Sultanahmet and close to many touristic attractions. Istanbul is one of the largest cities in the world and is the second most crowded one after Shanghai. Unfortunately, with a population of over 14 million people, sometimes traffic can be a bit crowded, mostly at city center. Our professional concierge team is always here to assist you and give you great tips about İstanbul.

As Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel, İstanbul, we offer our guests a spectacular breakfast buffet at our StarBoard Restaurant with a wide selection of traditional & luscious food and beverage items from all around Turkey. While giving a delicate and refreshing start to your day every morning, you can also enjoy the beautiful view of the beautiful Bosphorus at our terrace. We are glad to learn that you enjoyed our breakfast service.

Your feedbacks are important for us to improve our service quality, thank you for sharing your sincere opinions with us. I hope you will give us another opportunity to welcome you back soon.

We stayed here in may 2013 for 5 days. While it isnt cheap, the staff are amazing especially Muje the concierge and the hotel location cant be beat. Istanbul is perpetually crowded and we did have some trouble finding taxis willing to brave the Ortakoy traffic but thats the only negative which was outweighed by the glorious views and the active cafe and restaurant scene in proximity to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was travelling for a business trip to Istanbul and was booked into this hotel by my company. The location is perfect, next to other well know hotels like Kempinski and Four Seasons. If you get a room facing the bridge, you will get a feeling that you are on the water. They have lots of nice places like cafes and restaurants around and one of them was Zuma (a Japanese restaurant). The food was fantastic and maybe that was one of the reasons why I looked this hotel so much;) Anyways, the decorations inside the hotel/rooms were average. It was clean and tidy but nothing over the top. It is a nice place for a short break or a business trip but would not recommend it if you are looking for something truly luxurious. The staff is friendly and over all atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming.

Room Tip: I would recommend to choose a junior suite, facing the water. This way you will have a breath taking...
