“Highly recommended hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

I was in Istanbul in a business trip for 3 nights.
I originally booked in another hotel near to Point hotel when I discovered that it was a simply a disaster.
I checked out after an hour and walk to see the Point hotel. The staffs were supportive and helpful. Simply they helped me a lot in booking the rooms for me and my colleagues with good rate and supported me in arranging the meeting room as soon as they came to know about my situation.
Rooms are well decorated, clean, roomy and classy. It's exactly what their in the Pictures.
Excellent room services with great breakfast.
Well located hotel, with great welcoming friendly staffs.
Free wireless internet access and 24 hours business center.
They offered me 2 bottles of water free of charge every day with free 2 pieces for laundry daily.
It was a good experience.

Very well located hotel. It's very easy to get there. It's in the central Taksim area but at the same time not in the middle of the over crowded Istiklal street.
The rooms are very comfortable with all the needed amenities, and 2 free bottles of water daily.
The bellboy was very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that I didn't like is the breakfast room, even though it overlooks a big part of Istanbul, but it needs refurbishment.

This hotel is in a good location if a bit of a ride from the airport (Eu45 in taxi) but with good public transport and shops and cafes nearby. It is a stylish, modern (i think the trendy term is Contemporary) buildign but does not suffer from the stainless steel and wood disease of many such places. Business or frequent travellers may find the constant offers of help a little over-bearing but infrequent or leisure travellers will find it flattering. The rooms are comfortable and efficient and rarely these days the connection of a laptop does not require major furniture moving! Not sure if the price is reasonable or not because I was on a company rate.
There is a friendly bar on the mezzanine floor and a coffee shop in the lobby. The top floor restaurant is no better but certainly no worse than the average hotel service but the promised 'breathtaking views' over the city are a bit over hyped - unless roofs and satellite dishes are your thing!!

Very friendly staff.

Good central business hotel near the convention centre and close to Taksim Square.
Friendly and helpful service with a smile. Bottled water provided daily. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Go for high room for views of the city

Very good centrally located business hotel. Staff were attentive and provided a very good level of service. Plenty of shops and eateries within easy walking distance. Rooms were a little stuffy and the AC is only operated during summer months, the windows can be opened though.

Room Tip: 8th floor should be avoided due to being directly under the restaraunt and function centre which can...

While not suited to families I would certainly recommend this hotel to couples old and young, solo travellers, business travellers and friends as a calm, safe oasis from the wonderful craziness that is Istanbul. Great location, just 3 minutes walk from Taksim Square. You then have the choice of either walking downhill down the main shopping street (which pretty much takes you anywhere north of the Galata Bridge that you want to go...Or take a short funicular ride down the hill (located in Taksim Square) and jump onto the great tram system to hit all the tourist spots on the other side of the bridge. Also 2 minutes walk from the Havas airport shuttle bus stop which was very convenient. Feels very safe even walking home very late at night. There are a few restaurants close by but beware the tourist traps – venture a little further instead (refer to Lonely Planet – we tried a few great places). Also check the kebab places where Sıraselviler Caddesi meets Taksim Square – great for quick bite. As for the hotel itself, our room was immaculately clean (even the bathroom) and the staff were fantastic. We stayed in a Deluxe (which is the standard) room. The room was a great size, enough for a huge (we think it was super king) bed, a single seater arm chair with foot rest and desk with chair along the window and STILL room to spare. TV, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities all provided. We had a small gift waiting for us on arrival along with two bottles of water and two packets of nuts which we received again each day we stayed. Free wi-fi was also provided and was quick enough and password provided in room. Breakfast was also great – much variety and the almost uninterrupted views over Istanbul were great. Hotel also has a lovely bar in the lobby for beer, wine and complementary snacks. Also worth checking out the pool, sauna and steam room downstairs. Quiet, calm and lovely. You will need to pay a nominal fee (I think it was 6 EURO) for a swimming cap if you don’t have one of your own with you but it’s a proper reusable cap so you keep it to use again if you wish to swim. Didn’t have time to try the treatments but the rooms looked lovely and also immaculately clean. Highly recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Request high floor away from elevators. We were on 7th floor so away from traffic - not sure if woul...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel. We are sorry that we are replying so late due to some technical issues. We can not find the words to thank you for your long and kind comments. It is comments like these which motivates us everyday to make our guests happy.

As a local born and raised in Istanbul, I also have to say that you gave great tips about what to do in Istanbul. Both touristic and local stuff are included. So overall a great comment that highlights great stuff about our hotel and city definitely better than I would :).

We definitely hope to see you again and you have a great trip once again.
