We arrived in Istanbul and were directed to this hotel by the Tourist Information place.
The bedding was disgusting it had faecal stains on it and was ripped. The room was dark and stunk. The toliet was black. We asked for another room which was just as bad. We slept on top of the bed for 2 hours then packed and walked out!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

“A bad hotel in beautiful Istanbul”

We have been in Aksaray Hotel 10 nights.
Hotel building and every thing in it were old. The staff didn't know any language just Turkish and their behavior were not friendly.
The room lighting was not sufficient.
The air conditioner rarely was working well and you had to open the window but the highway noises caused you to close it.
Three mornings we had to take a shower by cold water (hot water was cold!).
The breakfast was limited to bread, white cheese, butter, jams, boiled egg, olives, watermelon, yogurt, tomato, cucumber, cornflakes, and milk. Sausage or salami and french cheese were omitted. And both the hot drink (black tea and coffee), and cold drink (two different fruit juices) had too bad taste.
