“Good location good staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

This hotel is located at a fabulous location. All the tourist attractions are walking distance. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, as well as the Grand Bazaar are 5 mins walking. The view from the hotel lane is also great and there is a very nice cafe nearby which we enjoyed. There are also many other restaurants nearby that are lovely. The rooms are tine but the breakfast was good. Staff is supremely helpful. They arrange for transfers to airport and are very proactive.

Room Tip: Anything apart from the ground floor room next to the reception.

We spent a weekend at this hotel and had a great time. The hotel is in walking distance to the grand bazar, hagia sophia, blue mosque, and tokapi palace. The staff are extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make calls for us for restaurant reservations, to offer suggestions for tours, etc. We really appreciated the excellent customer service.

This is an excellent hotel. i stayed 1 week and I had a sea view room. Amazing breakfast in the terrace and The staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating, very friendly, efficient and wonderful. Perfectly located in Sultanahmet area, it is just two minutes walking distance from Grand Bazaar, St.Sophia, Blue Mosque, Underground Cistern and many of the shops and restaurants. The hotel, newly constructed becouse everythings was new and clean.you can find free wireless Internet, satellite television, climate control, and a minibar, in addition to modern and spacious bathrooms. if you want to go any other place around istanbul it is very easy to find taxi or any other puplic transportation the hotel staffs help you for this kindly. And they tell you and lead you for finding best place around the İstanbul. The price is resonable for me due to these all facilities After 3 months i will visit to istanbul again and i hope i can find available room in this hotel again....

I’m giving this hotel an average rating because our stay was, well, average. We made a mistake and booked our time in Istanbul over the Easter long weekend, which meant we greatly overpaid for this hotel. (Part of me feels like this was our error for planning to be in Istanbul during Easter, not the hotel’s. Other hotels in Sultanahmet were going for over $1000 a night.) I probably have rated the hotel a bit better if I hadn't felt like we'd paid too much for what we got...

The room: Our room was fairly clean and new. The bed was simple, but surprisingly comfortable, which we really appreciated after long days of lining up at Istabul's main attractions. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom had a terrible sewer odour (despite being on the third level), so we kept the door closed at all times. Additionally, the shower wall was too short, and the bathroom floor became flooded each time we showered. Both annoying things, but not the worst hotel problems to have...

Location: The location of this hotel was good – off the beaten track (and therefore quieter streets) but only a short walking distance to the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sohphia in one direction, and the Çemberlitaş tram station in the other direction. As mentioned by others, there are speakers for the call to prayer right outside the window, which was a shock to the system at 5:00am on the first morning (we got used to it after 2 nights).

Staff: The owner was pleasant and tried his best to be helpful, but sometimes language was an issue with others at the desk, which led to some frustrations on our part when trying to book our airport transfer.

Food: Breakfast was really the best part of our stay in this hotel – a simple yet tasty selection of cheeses, breads, eggs, dried fruit and meats. There was also a great automatic coffee machine which made lattes – a nice change from the instant Nescafe we drank at other hotels.

Small hotel in old town convenient for all major sites. Small but immaculate well furnished rooms .Excellent breakfast on terrace overlooking Bosphorous. Friendly helpful staff. But, be warned, there is a mosque 25 meters away with speakers aimed at bedroom windows. The 5 a m call to prayer is a rude awakening

Sultanahmet Suite Life Hotel is conveniently located near all the major attractions in Old Town Instanbul, and they serve an amazing breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city and the sea. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. We looked forward each afternoon to tea with Turan, and he was so kind in helping us find local restaurants. The hotel manager, Mehmet, really went out of his way to make sure that all of our needs were met as well. He treated us like family. In addition to the great service, you can easily walk to the Blue Mosque, Little Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahçe Palace with its beautiful gardens. There are also many wonderful restaurants nearby that offer everything from döner and kebab to musaka and sea bream. I especially recommend Sokullu for a traditional Turkish dinner, and it’s just a block or two up the street from Sultanahmet Suite Life. We felt very safe here walking around at night, and if we found ourselves too far away, there was always a taxi nearby to take us back to our hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we're in Instanbul.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff was at Sultanahmet Suite Life. Everything from helping with directions to making coffee, to making conversation and trying to teach me Turkish! They were patient, kind, and really interested in whether or not the people staying there were having a good time. The location of the hotel is literally just a couple blocks from the Blue Mosque and Haggia Sofia, which makes it very easy to get around to all the rest of the major sights. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family without hesitation.
