“An old, not four stars hotel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Small rooms, old furniture, broken washbasin at the toilet, too noisy. The breakfast it is rather "poor" and after 08.30 they don't renew the items. It's central hotel but there're so many others much better (I've been in Instanbul 8 times)close to Taksim square.

The only good thing about this hotel is location , the room are outdated with furniture dates back to the 1980's , the bathroom is awful with the fan connected to the room near by so you can hear your neighbour will he ( or she ) using the bathroom !!!!
The breakfast is fine but the staff are very un friendly and not smiling at all ( I stayed there 5 nights and did not see any of them wears a smile ) .
The house keeping is very primitive as the room was full of dust , and sound isolation is so weak as you can hear street noise from third floor .

Marble hotel is located very close to Istiklal street, the main shopping street in taksim square.
it is also very close to the main transportation (Buses, Metro, Underground & funicular).
the breakfast is good & you can enjoy it with the bosphorous view.
Rooms are clean, beds are very small & the room is small too with a very simple furniture. the bathroom is clean also and they change the bed sheets daily. the AC is fine.
I would recommend it if anyone is looking for its location

Room Tip: king beds for couples are very small

Usually I dont like to complain and overstate things, but this was to much even for me. Mr "Bob", who is working at the reception did not even pretend to be polite. He made all kind of unacceptble jokes with me. And mentioned something about my nationality...without any reason. This is a 4star hotel, not 1star where you can expect whatever.
I think this kind of behavior is unacceptable for stuff working directly with people especially at the hotel.
I will never ever stay there again even if it is for free and will say to all my friends and people I know about this awfull experience.
But other personell at the hotell were ok.

If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is right next door to Istiklal Shopping district, then this is a ideal place. Although this was a cheap hotel, there was free Turkish breakfast with a view of the Bosphoros, and free internet with no charge. The rooms were clean including the bathroom, however the television is old, and the furniture and twin beds looked like they needed to be refurbished. What I liked about the hotel-- 24-hour room service that served sandwiches and salads with an inexpensive menu, friendly English speaking staff, a mini-market next door that sold everything, a money-exchanger next door, and the close proximity to most popular Taksim and Istiklal shopping district, and the many types of restaurants and cafes on Istiklal street. The heater did not work well, but it was okay-there were blankets, I hardly was in the room. If you are on a tight budget, then, I recommend staying at this no frill hotel since you can take advantage of the free breakfast, and free internet service. I could not believe I ordered 3 full meals with tea and mineral water, and it cost me a total of $22.00 USD! Stay on the back side of the hotel, so you won't hear the noise from the disco and the people on the street.

Room Tip: Request to stay on the side of the hotel that is not facing the main street, so you will not hear th...
