Hotel Aslan is friendly and clean. Not inexpensive, tiny room, poor Wifi coverage. I think there's probably better for the price.

Unbelıeveable for a 3 star hotel. perfectly clean. Nıce room (401) wıth a partıal vıew of the blue Mosque. The staff were extremely frıendly and very attentıve. There ıs a roof terrace but ıt was closed due to the cold. the breakfast was varıed and ıncluded your choıce of ındıvıdually prepared eggs.....I found that partıcularly rare for a 3 star hotel. They allowed us to leave our bags and even provıded us wıth tea at no charge. For a great deal, only 50 euros (49.50 for two persons) thıs ıs an ıdeal hotel for the budget traveller who prefers 5 star servıce....
Its a great place to stay and service is excellent. We arrive at around 12noon to the hotel. Of course the breakfast was over, but the manager asked if we had anything to eat yet and we said no since we just arrived to the hotel straight from the airport. He brought out breakfast for the two of us and told us to relax before we got out later for a meal. No sure if we can get that kind of service in a five stars hotel !!
The Hotel Aslan is well located, close to the Blue Mosque. Near the hotel itself are a range of tourist focused services such as cafes and restaurants (and, of course, carpet sellers).
Breakfast was provided on the roof-top terrace which had magnificent views over the the Bosphorus. We were given a choice of hot food cooked to order or fresh orange juice. There was also fresh sliced bread, olives, fruit, jams, tea and coffee. Overall, sitting on the terrace and eating the fresh food was more enjoyable than breakfast at some of the buffets offered by the 5 star hotels.
The rooms were small but comfortable. Unlike some previous reviewers, we did not notice any loud construction noise, but there was someone doing some tiling outside.
There was one free internet terminal in the lobby and we had no trouble getting access to it. The staff were very friendly.
This small hotel is in the heart of the Old City yet on a quiet street. The rooms have been recently renovated. My room was sparsely furnished but spotlessly clean. The air conditioner was quiet with remote control of temperature and fan speed. The management and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast (prepared to order and buffet) and view from the roof terrace were excellent. Wireless internet worked well. A very charming experience at a modest price.
