“A bit fairytale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Beuatiful and very nice hotel. Very clean. Nice atmosphere - a bit like fairytale. The hotel made breakfast for us at 5 in the morning. A very bit and good buffet - only for the us 8 guests. Had a beautiful view from my room. The restaurant in on top with a splendid view to all sides :)

This hotel is very centrally situated in Istanbul, within walking distance of the Spice Market, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Justinian cisterns, and archaeology museum.
Our room was spacious and comfortable (but I understand that some rooms can be quite small). The roof-top restaurant has excellent views over the city. The food was average but OK. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floor - and not facing towards the street.

We stayed here for 2 nights before a cruise. It is a lovely small hotel in a great location, being only 10 mintues walk to the old town. The tram also runs past the hotel. Staff were very helpful. Rooms are a medium size, clean and with airconditioning. The rooftop restaurant has the most amazing views over the bay, you could sit there all day and look at the view. The breakfast has a wide selection to choose from. There is some street noise and tram noise but we found it didn't keep us awake at night.

Room Tip: rooms higher would have less street noise

The Seres hotel is a short walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi palace. It has quite an unassuming frontage but there is a wonderful terrace restaurant room at the top of the building with a view over most of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. The rooms were quite spacious, the shower quite strong but with an irritating curtain that didn't prevent the bathroom floor from being soaked. However, the staff were very helpful, the meals were good- table service although we were on a group tour, and interesting dishes every night. The breakfast is plentiful if odd, (chips on offer one day) but there is lots of choice. A good base from which to visit Istanbul

The room was nice and clean. You can reach most of the points of interest in Istanbul by foot. The staff were very kindly and helpful. Only disadvantage was the air condition out of order for three days and more important nights. So we had to open the window in the night. The traffic didn`t let us sleep. After this problem was solved also the sleep quality was good.

The hotel is ok, room in the back side a little bit small but without noise, and clean. The reception stuff is not very helpful, we were carrying a lot of baggage and nobody even opened the door for us. The breakfast is ok, maybe boring after the first days. The best thing is the restaurant, very good food, very good prices and the best view to all the mosques, the old city, the galata bridge, beyoglou, Bosphorus, gold horn, Bosphorus bridge, Top kapi and Agia Sophia!!

You need no more than an hotel in a central place near to famous sightseeing destinations with an average price and near to two tram points which you can use to transport easily to your destinations or to have a cheap nice tour at night, also there is a near train station to go into the nice aquarium aqua florya and you can go to taksim by taxi. walk up early to enjoy the delicious breakfast in the terrace with wide view to Istanbul and start your day, for dining you can buy shawerma sandwiches which are the cheap and great or you can enjoy the oriental sweets in shop in the same street called hafez (not sure of its second name) . There are near shops to buy clothes and shoes in the street behind yeni mosque.
