“A Turkish Delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2014

A small group of us stayed here recently and it was delightful. From the front desk welcome to the clean & efficient room to the extensive breakfast buffet to the incredibly excellent location in the heart of things, this is a place for you.

This place has all of the benefits above at an incredible value. Stay with confidence often.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room if available. Views are fun and windows that open are refreshing.

We travel a little cheap on our trips so Sude Konak was a little step up from what we're used to. The room was very clean and perfect. The breakfast was very nice, you get to taste a lot of Turc tradition and sweets. The terrasse have a nice view of Hagia Sophia up on the hill on one side and on the other side, it overlooks the Golden Horn and Istanbul. I enjoyed the view up there. The location was perfect. We were at walking distance of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand bazar, Galata Bridge, the Egyptien spice market. The Tramway is 3 minutes walking distance. Lots of restaurants near by. Perfect location. Why Very good instead of Excellent? They messed with our reservation, we ended up with two single beds instead of the one bed bedroom we were expecting based on our reservation, but we managed...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days , . Location fantastic. Hotel staff were really helpful, the room was a fair size ,very clean. We had a room at the front which was quite noisy .breakfast was good ,the views as you ate your breakfast was either the bosphorous or aya Sophia . Brilliant stay.

Room Tip: Perhaps rooms at the back would be quieter

This hotel is located in the old part of the town and is in walking distance to all of the main attractions, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. The room was clean and comfortable and included a bath, our room was overlooking the quiet side road.
Breakfast was lovely and the seating area was charming and traditional.
Its in a great location to explore all the best attractions and sights of Istanbul.

This is a great location to stay when planning to visit the Sultanahmet area. Everything is at a walking distance and the tram is a block away if you prefer to take it to Cemberlitas for the Grand Bazaar or Eminonu for the Bosphorus cruise. Although the lobby is unimpressive, the room was pretty modern, though small. Anyway, it worked for us. The staff was also helpful and have a fairly good command of English. After sampling other breakfasts in Turkey I can say that it pretty average but plentiful of options, especialy for vegetarians.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window. I happened to walk by another one without one and was pretty depressin...

Stayed here for 1 night only on route to Dubai from London. Arrived around 7am Sunday 3rd August and left Monday 4th in the evening and had emailed hotel prior to arriving. As it is a small hotel, doors were locked so we had to knock to get their attention, and the receptionist and porter were asleep in the hotel lobby. They looked a little bit disorientated and disturbed and were telling us not to make noise which was a bit strange because we had luggage with us so the only thing you could hear was the wheels of the suitcase. Anyway, they checked us in very quickly and also allocated us a room immediately which was kind of them because hotel check in is usually midday but they probably didn't want us sitting around in the lobby ruining their sleep.

The room was on the ground floor a few steps from reception and was very small and stuffy with no window, however we put the aircon on and waited for it to cool the room. Since we were there for a night only, we couldn't be bothered to ask to change rooms plus I had read the rooms were small anyway.

The bathroom was small but spotless and had toiletries and hairdryer. Tv in room also, no tea coffee making facilities and no iron. Sister had to get directed around the corner to a launderette to iron her clothes which was quite annoying, the hotel should get a couple of irons and allow customers to use them. Rated as 4* on lastminute and many other sites, but quite clearly isn't, is more of a basic 3* but having stayed in Sultanahmet on a previous visit, almost all of these hotels around sultanahmet are small because they are located in small residential streets that the tram route is on. Anyway getting to the main point which is location and access to places, is excellent, plenty of restaurants around. 2 min walk to tram station Gulhane, 10 mins to Topkapi, another 5 to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque area. 5 mins the other way to Sirkeci, and down to Eminonu (the ferry pier). Breakfast was basic but filling, and the best thing were the views of the Hagia Sofia from the top. Free wifi which was great. Fridge in room was a plus.

Room Tip: Request room with window if they even have them, especially if you will be there for 2+ days. Pay a...

I stayed in the hotel with the family. location is really great. everything is close to you. Aya Sofia Mosque, Sultan Ahmet and grand bazar. staff was good with acceptable response. i forgot to collect things from safe box and they accepted to keep the safebox closed for 10 days till i came back ans collected the things. AC was down and within short period, the room was replaced. Lenin is clean. rooms are very very small and we hardly could find a space to pray. lobby is not well equiped by suffiecient A/C.
