“Amazing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

My family and I have been to Turkey several times over the years and we always
stayed across the street at the Sultan's Inn. But after several mishaps, we decided to move over to
the Albatros. They greeted us with warm faces and a pleasant atmosphere. The room
was amazing and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful and the people couldn't be nicer.
Two thumbs up!

Within walking distance of Sultanahmet. Friendly reception, rooms ok, but small.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights of which 3 were sleepless due to the ac in room number 103 being very ancient and giving off nothing but noise! Despite complaining to staff in reception, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and would get a new room as soon as one became available, which just happened to be on the last night! Also the breakfast was the same for each of the days and the staff did not refill the food, which was finished by other guests?

All in all a 3 star experience rather than the 4 it has been given!

We stayed at the Albatros twice during our stay in Istanbul (before and after a tour). On our first stay our room was quite small and the air conditioner did not work. The location was very convenient but the room could have been better. On our second stay we were upgraded to one of the sultan sweats. This was a very special room with a turkish bath and a huge four poster bed. Overall the rooms were clean and the hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.

We just came back from a eight days long trip to Istanbul. Excellent location as most tourist attractions are walking distance. Our room was at first floor, everything was fine and good except noise from the inside and outside hotel. The room was okay but the AC did not work properly..all over sudden leaking.

We just came back from a five day long trip to Isanbul and I must mention that this hotel was just perfect for our holiday. We were out the whole time only to come back in the night o a cozy and safe place as we were two girls alone and this hotel was just the right place.A 10 minute walk from the sultanahmet tr station and as close to all te main attractions o the city such as Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Topokapi palace etc. The buffet breakfast tends to get a little repetitive but the helpful staff and the cozy room more than makes up for it.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

We stayed two nights in this hotel once on Monday and again on a Thursday night. Our fist room was a standard room on the first floor near the entrance to the hotel. My wife was concerned about noise from the street but it was not a problem. The room was OK but the AC did not work very well and the floor was not very clean. The rest of the room was clean and the bathroom was clean. This hotel is located very close to the main attractions in Istanbul and there are many restaurants and a small market very close to the hotel. On our second stay at this hotel we were placed in a suite. What a difference! The suite was very nice with lots of room. Everything was spotless in this room. The hotel includes free Wi-Fi that works well. I would defiantly recommend this hotel for a stay in Istanbul.
