“BEAUTIFUL BEDROOM AND VERY FRIENDLY STUFF!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2011

I stayed with my boyfriend at this hotel from 4 to 10 January. The moment we walked into our room i could not believe it! It was so beautiful, comfortable and nicely decorated! The buth tub was big and with a jacuzzi!!!!! It was perfect to use after so many hours walking! The water view was also unique! The hotel is situated in a quite neighboorhood and 5 minutes away from AGIA SOFIA,BLUE MOSQUE,BASILIKA CISTERN. You can use the tram to go to taksim and istiklal road(full of shops). The stuff in this hotel was very friendly and with a smile all time! AS for the breakfast they had olives, joghurt, milk, cookies, eggs, sausages, potatoes, salads, tea, coffee etc.The juice was the only thing i didnt like but ok! Everyday they have different things on buffet but when something is finished they dont bring more of it.I think if u go early in the morning you have everything!!
Iam very satisfied that i stayed at this hotel!I reccomend it!

We stayed here during Christmas time 2010. Good and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit on the small site and the hotel is a bit far from the nearest tramstop (but what a walk! passing Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia). Breakfast is great! Serkan is an eager and helpful 22 year old waiter who's attention you will enjoy.

We met by a very supporting young lady early in the morning, and she manged to give us one room (out of two within one hour, i.e., at about 9.00 AM). The night manager Solyman, I think, was quite helpful in every request we made and suggested alternatives as well.

The room though not that large is clean and well organised with amenities in the bathroom. The morning buffet breakfast is a treat, their cook Ms. Byan well diversify each day the breakfast.

The hotel is very close to Sultan Ahmet mosque, though you have to go up the hill. I liked the view of the Bosfurus Bogas and seeing the sun rise everyday from my room's window.

I had an amazing first time trip to Istanbul due in large part to this hotel. The room was clean with a great view and close to every site I wanted to visit. I never had to take a cab or even public transportation. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. I was injured and needed to be brought to the hospital and the pharmacy for medicine. The driver and front desk staff made several trips with me and was unbelievably kind and helpful. The lovely front desk girl Derya was particularly helpful and friendly. You were treated like a long lost relative. I have traveled extensively through Cairo, Israel, Europe and North America and this was perhaps my best hotel experience!

This is a small boutique hotel, but it is very nice, clean, comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful despite limited English. The hotel is in the heart of the Sultanahmet section of Istanbul - the Old City. It is within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, the Ayasofia, the Hippodrome and many other sites. It was only a little further walk to the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar and a short walk to the harbor area. The hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to see. And they arranged for transporation for other sites that were not within walking distance. We only ate breakfast there which was very good - fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bread. Unless you are on one of the top floors and have a water view, there isn't much to look at in that area. It's away from the main Sultanahment streets so there isn't much of a view but it was very quiet at night. Didn't try the fish restaurant next door. There were too many dinner choices all over the area. It was a great location and the people were incredibly welcoming and friendly.

We spent one night in the Yusufpasa Hotel when we decided to extend our stay in Istanbul and our other hotel was booked. What a fortuitous event! We loved everything about this lovely little spot. The location was ideal, close to everything and right around the corner from a street with dozens of restaurants and shops. The bathroom was beautiful, with a large step in shower, several bars of herbal soap, a loufa, toothpaste and toothbrush and plenty of towels. Our beds, were made up with the whitest of sheets and everything smelled freshly laundered and clean. The breakfast was ample with home-baked goodies, fruit, yogurt, dried fruit, cereals, breads etc. There were also the typical Turkish items of cheese, olives, tomatoes, meats etc.
The lobby and breakfast room are decorated with so many lovely pieces of Turkish arts and crafts, from punched tin to pottery, porcelain, Ottoman style wooden furniture...everything went together to make for a welcoming and comfortable stay. There was even a small bowl with some pieces of Turkish Delight candies on the nightstand.
I would highly recommend this hotel and only regret that we were able to stay just one night there. I'll be back!
