“Almost as bad as the Florya Park hotel next door”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

We were shoved into the Florya Park hotel next door by BA at midnight after our flight developed a technical problem but the Florya was so bad we got rooms here where some of the other stranded passengers were placed. It has the same 12 lane highway outside and it is just as grubby and down at heel as the Florya. The beds are slightly bigger than next door but our double bed seemed to have a single bed sheet on it as it didn't even cover the sides of the mattress. The air conditioning sort of worked in that the fan blew but it had no cooling capacity. The bathrooms were grubby, and had not door to it, we only had one bath towel for the two of us and one of the hand towels had been used by someone as a handkerchief, there was cigarette ash on the floor (neither of us smoke!) and the laminate flooring didn't meet the walls.
The 'meal' provided was a white coloured liquid with lumps in it tasting slightly of mint, MSG and huge amounts of salt, served with stale bread. The manager tried to charge 6TL for a bottle of water (about 6xs the going rate).
Avoid it, even if you are poverty stricken, you might contract something incurable here.

Dangerous flooring with carpets loose and mats on marble surfaces caused an accident my wife fell and badly bruised chin, ribs & knee. Rooms smelt of smoke and not clean. Unfortunately we had to return during the holiday for another 3 nights. Flooring still the same as before, the food was not acceptable with chicken and mash for 3 nights and for a change meatballs and mash, so bad that on the last night could not face the food and went elsewhere regardless of the cost, drinks were way over priced. No towels, toilet rolls or soaps etc, until the last day but found some towels etc from the linen trolley which was permanently parked at the end of the corridor. As most of these reviews has stated this has got to be the worst hotel in Istanbul.

BA has cancelled our flight and we had to stay at this hotel 1 night, it was a nightmare. Very old bas smelling, discusting kitchen, very bas service, noisy old fashine rooms. How comes BA makes an agreement with this hotel. The answer is BA does not care his passengers, they don't mind. After spending 10 hours at the airport (without serving any food) BA has cancelled our flight and took us to this hotel and asked hotel to serve us just soup, it was the worst soup I have ever seen in my life.

The first room we had here was appalling, only one curtain half hanging off its moorings, not enough to cover the window, smelt of smoke, food very poor. The last three days of our trip, we had to return here, better room but no mattress protector, a sheet not big enough to tuck under the mattress, just laid on the top of it, so moved every time we did! Bathroom poorly cleaned, air conditioning ineffective. We asked for a safe key as there was none in situ, a replacement bulb for bed head light and drinking glasses. My husband took the receptionist up to the room to clearly explain the missing/broken items. Nothing was done.
I would never stay here again!

This hotel is a joke: Receptionists asked us for a pen, can you believe this? They do not even have pens. Our checkout was marked by the receptionist forgetting to give our passports back, yes yes. My room was full of dirt on the floor like thick yogurt (or what you think it is) stains dating from first WW. The window was letting too much noise enter. beds were decent. Bathroom was disgustingly old fashioned. Bring your own everything: towels bedsheets toothpaste toothbrush soap, slippers. Very old furniture, even older than your granmas basement decoration. I could not sleep because of the highway noise; the dirty bedsheets, the matress that tortured my back and the horrific design of the hotel. You could definitely turn a horror movie there: HOSTEL 4. 4 stars? not even the spike of one star.

The hotels is in the middle of the action .I'm talking about the traffic in Istanbul(we travel with cars). Cleanliness is bad. Little rooms .Bad breakfast. Free parking.

one of the worst hotels I've ever been to: Hotel Sevcan, which is a Turkish-Airline contract hotel and a shame for the airline... bad and rude reception, smoky rooms, not working air condition, dirty beds and bathroom, already used half-empty shampoo bottles... Despite the fairly good dinner, this was not the compensation for a missed flight, one would expect or which I remembered I got from BA or KLM before.
