“Great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Close proximity to tourist areas, staff is super helpful and attentive, clean rooms, lovely rooftop deck for day or night use, wifi & laptops available for use at no extra charge, breakfast included, and airport service available for extra fee. The outdoor noise can be an issue, but you should expect that given the number of bars/restaurants in the area. The rooms are small, but my guess is that you will spend little time in your room given the lovely rooftop deck, and the myriad of things to do in Istanbul. And can't stress enough....the staff/service is wonderful!!!

This was a very nice place to stay. Sebnem Hotel is very close to the Blue Mosque and Haggia Sophia. They have a shuttle from the airport for 25€ that was very convenient given our flight times. The breakfast was great especially since it was include with the room. I have already recommended this hotel to our friends.

Just returned from istanbul and stayed at Sebnem. Great price for the location, perfect bed, breakfast on the terrace with view of the city, very accommodating staff, they arrange taxi to the airport and always available for any questions. The perfect place for an easy cheap stay.

Located next to the Blue Mosque and the St. Sophia with a terrace looking at Bosphorus this hotel has hospitable staff which helps you to get around and to feel at home. Make a note that the restaurants in the close proximity are pretty expensive while you could find a lot of good cafe and restaurants just in a walking distance. For example traditional Turkish home food at Nuran's restaurant (6/A Kucuk Ayasofya Cd).

Adjacent to all the great sights and extremely hospitable staff to ensure your stay goes well. I wish they had on line booking. Now you have to send them an email and they let you know if rooms are available and the prices - they respond very promptly. If they say no rooms are available, try them a few days later as cancellations may open up a space as it happened to me.
Make sure you have the free breakfast on the roof - it has a gorgeous view of the water.

Room Tip: I had room 204 which overlooked a small garden and backs of other hotel rooms. This area has many ho...

I stayed here over Thanksgiving holiday for 4 days upon returning from the Cappadocia area in Turkey. We were picked up from the airport and then battled traffic to get to the hotel. The location is just perfect to all the walking spots, being our first time and only a few days to cover all we could it was a great location. We visited the Taksim Square area quite a bit and I'm thankful we stayed in this area for our first visit. We walked past the Blue Mosque almost every time we left the hotel.
As others have mentioned the hotel is in a cute little back street and a block a way from a ton of places to eat and cute shops. I thought we might never leave our little area. However we did and walked to most places and also took the above ground tram. It was about a 15 minute walk to catch it and super easy to get around and back to the hotel.

The hotel itself best thing is for the price the location cannot be beat. I've stayed at many B&Bs and actually prefer them. The room was a tad small, however we were only there to sleep. The biggest complaint was the smell, the room smelled like an outhouse. The windows didn't open more than 2 inches so we were never able to get rid of the smell. Also the wifi is great to use, but oddly they turn it off around midnight - very weird.

The service was good, someone was always at the front desk day or late night. We had some very late nights and they were always there. If you had questions about the area or times places open they help you. Are they overly friendly like you'd get at other B&Bs and and treat you as their top priority not really, but it didn't bother us.

The breakfast was okay, not the best options but the coffee couldn't be bet. I would recommend this place for the area and if you have a busy trip planned its central to just about any place you want to go. One night we took a cab ride back from Taksim and it was about 10tl, not bad. However if you want more of a hotel feel and not some thing basic I wouldn't suggest this place.
