“Wonderful stay at charming hotel; attentive staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

The hotel is charming--lots of atmosphere, terrific location if you want to tour Ayasofia, Topkapi, etc. There's even a little takout/snack shop across the street (we bought out their weekly stock of Coke Zoro). Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and good a/c. Most of all, we enjoyed the staff (WONDERFUL--kind and helpful), our fellow travellers (lots of people like us and others who weren't), and the terrific breakfast with the sea view. As others have noted, you're in a prime location to hear the calls to prayer from the mosques; these added to the expereince in our view. Definitely pay attention to the dimensions of the room you request: they vary greatly in size.
This hotel was just what we wanted and added to our wonderful 9 days in Istanbul.

Room Tip: It's worth splurging on the larger rooms! The Sultan's Penthouise was wonderful. The corner...

We stayed here on two separate occasions in June and both stays were fantastic. The first time we got upgraded and enjoyed the extra space. The roof top is great to go and unwind, enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the view.
The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about where to go, what to do etc.
The location of the hotel is perfect, most of the main tourist attractions are within walking distance.

If you plan to visit Istanbul and desire an ideal location just minutes from major sights consider Dersaadet. You will be hard pressed to find a more attentive and genuinely kind staff. Within hours you will feel that you are among family or dear friends . Each and every staff do their job with utmost care resulting in an exceptional experience for visitors. While the city beckons the visitor the roof top terrace provides nourishment for both the body and soul. Strongly recommend for the serious traveler.

We had a lovely experience at the hotel. Staff was gracious, welcoming, and the penthouse suite was fabulous. There was air conditioning. The children's cots were saggy but they could live with it since the room was so pretty and great view.

Small hotel with welcoming and friendly staff and great hospitality. Roof-top terrace for breakfast and dinner offers dramatic views of the city. Great variety of breakfast foods to meet all tastes. Look forward to a return visit.

We love to stay in Boutique hotels, where you get the feel of the culture where you are staying. Dersaadet did just that, without sacrificing comfort or care. The staff was so helpful and accommodating, and the rooms very clean and tidy. The location could not have been better- so easy to get to all of the key sights. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and will stay there agin when we return to Istanbul!

We stayed here on the ecommendation of a friend and were very pleasantly surprised. It is very well located, amid cute shops and cafes, and very close to all major sites. The hotel lobby is quaint, the staff are generally very nice, the rooms well equipped. Breakfast on the roof top terrace was delicious every day - fresh and flavorful melons and fruit, excellent pastries, etc. Only two minuses: breakfast is not served until 8:00am and I could not get coffee earler. While there is a kettle in the room, the instant coffee was never replenished. Otherwise, I highly recommend the hotel.
