My husband and I stayed in this hotel from 6-11 Sept 2012. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful, the view from the breakfast terrace is fabulous (minarets of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus), and the location is excellent. A short walk takes you to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the tram stop, the Grand Bazaar... it felt like everywhere was close by. We loved Istanbul! We wanted to go back as soon as we left, especially as the next place we arrived (Athens) saw all our most valued possessions (including all our precious photos from Istanbul) stolen.
We were welcomed with tea and locum, which was pleasant, and the welcome felt warm and genuine.
Our room was small and a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well. The breakfast was OK, coffee a bit ho-hum. We would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
And... if you are looking for a scarf of ANY description, at a fair price, see the charming Ugur ARTAR at Dream Art Collection in the Grand Bazaar. He makes parting with your money a pleasure, plus you get a scarf!
