Now that is so amazing, safe you can walk there anytime of day or night it is totally safe, it is always buzy plenty of tourist, little carts selling freshly squeezed pommegranate juice for 1lira, if uou feel for a nibble whilst waiting to get into the Isofiya you can nibble on the everyday turkish bread sold from the carts and you can have it filled with Nutella mmmmmm, the entire square is just beautiful, the Blue Mosque, incredibly beautiful, the shops around, the restaurants amazing.

“Fun little place to walk around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

It was a pretty fun little area to walk around, lots of great hidden restaurants. Beware of the street peddlers and gypsies.. Lots of stray cats too.. All and all a very nice scenic area to walk around!

“shopping paradise, amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

this is the area surrounding the blue mosque, ayasofia and grand bazaar. The area is quite good for shopaholics. There are lots of options to choose from, If you are good in bargaining, this is the place for you to be. From antiques to accessories, cultural clothing, spices, turkish cuisine, calligraphy, everything is available here. You can spend a whole day here. Except from shopping, many cultural landmarks like ayasofia, blue mosque, topcapi palace etc lies in this region. I recommend to stroll around rather than taking a vehicle or tram. If you are a vegetarian, eating options are minimal so plan accordingly.

“Great Little Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Recommended highly for tourists. All the major attractions are within walking distance including the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and Spice Bazaar. There is also a metro stop that allows easy access to the airport and Taksim Square.

“Don't Miss It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We stayed in this area for about 3 days. We walked the streets on our way everywhere, and it NEVER stopped taking my breath away. Great for strolling, picture-taking, shopping, and dining! Make the trip!!
