Location is good, 10 mins walk from istiklal street and good restaurants
the hotel does not have interesting events(turkish nights, buffet by pool...etc) not even on weekends.
room could be better, for the money im paying I would at least expect a toothbrush...
overall the hotel is good and recommended but not as expected

My family stayed at the Grand Hyatt as part of a layover in Istanbul. The hotel is an excellent retreat from the active urban environment of Istanbul.

The pool is spectacular and is a welcome attraction on a warm day as the water is cool. The surrounding landscaping is lush and has chess tables available under the arbor.

The fitness center is well equipped. There is also a spa available.

The concierge did a great job with directions and setting up a private tour of the sights in Istanbul.

The food was especially good after a long flight. I chose the buffet and it was worth the rather high cost. The Club Level breakfast was fantastic and it was worth upgrading.

Overall I was very pleased with the Grand Hyatt Istanbul and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room overlooking the pool has a nice view and is quiet.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Istanbul during mid July and were concerned about the riots before we arrived, however we did not experience any problems and we walked through the square and park where they had the problems. The hotel is in a wonderful location and is in a favorable position for the cruise ship terminal as it's only a 15 lire taxi ride away.
We will stay there again on our next trip to this wonderful city.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on a higher floor to get a good view or at the back of the hotel overlooking the p...

Really enjoyed my 4 day stay in this hotel. I've stayed in a number of hotels in the area, but this is by far the best so far. Hotel rooms are well appointed, staff are friendly - although communicating in English can be a bit of a challenge and the facilities are very good.

The swimming pool is fantastic, with an interesting layout (loads of in pool seating), and is also suitable for swimming laps.

The restaurant and pool bar are great, good selection of food, and service is above average.

It's location is also pretty good, and well within walking distance of Taksim Square and all the sites along the Bosphorus River.

They also have smoking rooms available.

We started our journey from the airport by pre arranged taxi which took about 30 minutes. The Hotel is minutes away from Taksim Square and the main shopping area. The Pool was amazing but the menu was too pricy. The of our stay we just relaxed and hang around the pool. I definitely recommend this wonderful hotel!

Just a 10 minutes walk from the most important square of Turkey, called Taksim Square , which is nowadays too much popular. So location wise , it is perfect. It is only 15 minutes walk away from the sea shore. If you are an early bird, you can have your breakfast by the sea in one of the nicest restaurants in Istanbul and that is just 15 minutes walk. it is next to TOPKAPI palace on the shore. the hotel is just a 2 minutes walking away from the bus station from where you can find your route towards Jewaher shopping center, Osman bey or to Taksim Square . However, as mentioned above taksim square is just 10 minutes walking from the hotel .
Rooms are quire big with very nice decoration . if you are one of the club lounge settlers in the hotel , it means that you can enjoy the snacks and the drinks which are available on the lounge. the hot snacks are also available at around 5 PM. alcoholic drinks are also served there and it is all for you free of charge .
The pool is large and you can enjoy the pool at any time of the day . Better to be there in the mornings if you would like to feel the breeze of Istanbul.
The staff, specially the ones that you are always facing , I mean the restaurant staff , the y are so friendly and they so polite . I loved them . although, the Breakfast was very nice, it couldn't be that nice if the staff were not there .
The room services were every good and you really felt that you are at home. large beds, nice sofa and specially when it is faced to the Phosphorus Bridge, then you cannot imagine how excellent it . So don't forget to get your room to the bridge.
So enjoy your stay at Hyatt as me and my family enjoyed our stay there . It is one of those memories that cannot be forgotten in a life time.

Room Tip: Get the rooms to the Phosphorus Bridge. It is amazing. If you pay a little more , you can get the r...

We arrived late on a Saturday night in late April then ran into traffic problems more than the usual traffic as the soccer game had just let out. I had upgraded to a suite; they put me in a smoking suite I am a non-smoker and have that in my profile. I called downstairs and they said someone would be up shortly no one came. We went downstairs and we they said oh we just sent someone..again no one showed up..We finally called and said we are starved it is now almost midnight so they said oh you will have to change again tomorrow as we do not have anything for you I told them I was not staying in the room I was already getting a headache..so they put me in an executive suite we went down to the bar and had some drinks and food. The drinks are pricey. We then went to bed we had access to the lounge the breakfast is continental but you can order eggs or an omelet. We did and they were very good. We had our luggage packed and put our valuables in our friend's room as he was travelling with us. We arrived at our Hotel after 6:00 PM and we were given the key to our new room. It is the best suite I have ever had it was 2 story had 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, dining room, kitchen, study, living room and a balcony to sit outside on. They also delivered great Turkish wine ( I am a wine snob) it was good. The service it the hotel was excellent. I would definitely recommend the club we usually eat a big breakfast and then a late lunch and then just have drinks in the club and the hor d' oeuvres fill us up. The drinks are complimentary and the food great. The staff is very nice. The only thing to be careful of is if you are a Hyatt Gold Passport member they seem to not post the correct things to your account so be careful. I would definitely recommend this hotel it is a little pricey but we got more than our money's worth.

Room Tip: Get a room on the club level the food is good and it is a good value ask for a room with a view of t...
