“Exquisite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

A newer mosque, built in the mid 1500s. Heh, "newer." Exquisite tile artwork inside. Spiritual men were inside reading from the Koran and chanting/singing. A wonderful start, for experiencing Turkish mosques.

“Sweet Mosque Great Tiles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Definitely one of the mosques to see, quieter than others with lovely tiles and charming peaceful atmosphere. Corner of the spice bazaar so a good antidote to the busy shopping going on around you

“A fitting monument for a rogue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

The mosque is wonderful, with its best of Iznik period tiling, and Sinan design. To understand the place of Rustem Pasha in the Suleyman world and then to visit his mosque and turbe was a must for me after reading of his life and intrigue with the Sultan and his first wife, Hasecki Hurrem Roxelana.

“Beautiful Mosque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

It's just another mosque in the middle of Bazar.
So, If you saw the Blue mosque, Fatih mosque and Suleymanieh mosque then this place will not be so interesting for you and you can skip this one unless you were interested in architectures.

“Small and fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

This is a must near the Spice Market. Don't confuse with the New Mosque. The tiles in this small "neighborhood" mosque are exquisite. It is included on most Old City walking tours.
