“Convenient, clean and caring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

It was a long flight from New York and such a relief to be greeted by the hotel van to bring us to the hotel. After a good nights rest in a peaceful and very comfortable room we were refreshed and ready to explore. Guided by reception, and a map in hand we visited major attractions and restaurants. Taksim Square a 5 minute walk, it was an adventurous day. Never bored. Taxis are easily available. We stayed there 6 nights and every morning the breakfast buffet was something to look forward to. There are many good local restaurants also just a few blocks from the hotel. Prices are reasonable. The staff at the Plussuite Hotel are extremely caring and professional. Service is with a smile. Adam, the manager, has molded this hotel building into a homey dwelling with a friendly atmosphere. When it was time to leave all the staff came outside to bid us farewell until the next time. Surely any traveler cannot experience any better then this. We will be going back again.

After a business trip got rescheduled I spent a week working out of the Plussuite hotel. The people were very nice, helpful and flexible. The room was big, quiet and maintained to a very high standard. The location is also great. Its only a couple hundred meters from Taksim Sq and Istiklal St. I highly recommend it.

We booked this hotel based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed at all. My husband and i stayed in Plussuite for 2 nights. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from taksim square and from the metro station which is the easiest way to go to other areas to visit Top kapi, Dolmabace or other famous places.
Our room was very clean (a bit smaller than the posted photos) but still very nice. We booked the penthouse which was really cute and had an excellent price.
Staff were very friendly and helpful (Thanku Shaaban and Evren). Breakfast was limited but the breakfast room was clean and nice. Coffee and tea were offered for free in the room which was nice. We took the hotel taxi from and to the airport and the driver was on time and very friendly as well.

My mother and I slept 4 nights in this hotel during easter holidays. The price was realy good compared to what was available in Istanbul during that time. It is locate in a backstreet near Taksim Square full of other small hotels. However, taxi drivers don't seem to know the street. If that bothers you, stay in a big hotel instead. The room was clean and very functional. The only problem we had was the transfer we decided to book to take us to the airport on the last day. Since we have a rather eventuful arrival, coming from the Sabiha airport to Taksim during rush hours, we've decided to choose the confortable (and expensive) way out and booked a private pick up the day before, for which we've paid 138 Liras for. The car never showed up and the hotel arranged a normal yellow cab to take us their "for free". The trip was uneventful and the car was normal. However, I really want to know what happened to our money, since I saw the taxi driver putting a 100 lira bill in his pocket when we left. The taximeter was on the whole trip, so we know it costed 92 liras. The Taxi driver received 100 (we would have rounded it up to 100 as a tip anyway) so we are guessing that the hotel kept the other 38 liras. C'MON GUYS! You were super friendly, you didn't need to keep our money coz of 38 liras. We are flexible enough. If there was problem if the private pick up, you could have given our money back and called a taxi. Most people do see through your charm, you know, tourists are not stupid. "free taxi" right ;) So, even though I liked the hotel very much, I would not stay there again.

We stayed at Plussuite hotel for 2 nights.

The positives -

1. Nice and clean rooms
2. Beds are good. We slept very well for the two nights we were there.
3. Taksim square is 5 mins walk from the property. The airport shuttle drops you off at Taskim square, so, you can get to the hotel door in 5 to 10 mins max depends on how fast you walk.
4. Taksim square metro which you can take to get to the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazar. Total time from the hotel to the Blue Mosque in the metro is around 15 to 20 mins. Take the metro not the taxi.
5. The reception people are always smiling and helpful and will guide you on where to go and what to do. Nice and friendly staff, which we liked.
6. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite and it was nice and airy which was good.

Negatives -

1. The breakfast facility was limited and couild have been a bit more elaborate.
2. There was a slight smell in a closet and near the toilets. We opened the windows and doors and it was gone. Might be a good idea to kep some light perfume or lavender in the closets as it will help to freashen up the room.

Over all, a good stay and very economical. We were happy.

Room Tip: Good hotel. Higher floors are good.

This is a perfect hotel for a short break in Istanbul. Located just of Taksim Square it is central for trams and the funicular. The owner and his staff are very kind and extremely helpful both in suggesting the sites to see and good restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. Travelling with my husband, sisters and brothers in law and we all loved it.

Room Tip: Try for the penthouse as this has a balcony!
