This is a great property located about 3 min from the Basilica Cisterns, 5 min from Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and about 8 min from the Grand Bazaar. The rooms were very clean and quite well equipped but certainly on the small side. They also had a great roof terrace with amazing views.

If you like seafood there is a restaurant just 20 mt down the road (turn left when you exit) called Sultanahmet Fish House that is simply amazing.

Arden Park Hotel nice small hotel and near the old city.
But we have room on the back of the hotel.
The bathroom was small with shower.
Hotel not for family with children.

We eat breakfast at their sister hotel called Arden City hotel. Breakfast was okey!

Recommnended for Couples and friends.

Room Tip: We had twin bedroom

Appart from being very well located, at the very heart of Sultanahmed, and appart from some staff (not everyone) being very kind, the experience was bad. I spent two separate periods during one week. The first time the room was tiny, I had almost no space to drop my suitcase. The room was noisy, and in poor condition. Plenty of things were broken (wall lamps, hanger, ...). The second time, the room was bigger, but the heating was not working (and it was a but cold at night). The breakfast was really poor, in a separate building, inside an underground room.

The hotel was great with an amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle service they arranged was great. Breakfasts were a substantial buffet in the sister hotel next door. Location was first rate on the doorstep of the blue mosque and Haga Sofia and an easy walk to the grand bazaar and Galata bridge.
The rooms were small as indicated by other reviews and a few well placed hooks for hanging jackets etc would be a great improvement.
All in all, very good value for money and we would definitely stay there again.

Came for 3 days for my honeymoon and had a great time.

Staff are excellent. Very polite and always smiling especially a lady who works in the day at the front desk called Ahoo. They sent us a complimentary fruit basket and also they gave us a free hour in the sauna and turkish bath. It was amazing and very private.

The location is unbeatable. Saved a lot of money on transport as you can easily walk to the blue mosque, hagia soffiya, topkapi palace and the grand bazaar.

Rooms are a bit small but very well presented and also very clean.

Breakfast is delicious.

It was our first trip to Istanbul and this hotel was a perfect choice. Reasonably priced, in an excellent location a stones throw from all the sites, clean, comfy beds and a well stocked continental breakfast. There is even a hammam in the basement ( Turkish bath ) I really recommend the Turkish massage ! The staff were helpful and polite. I mentioned a problem with our TV and it was fixed the same day whilst we were out. People on this site have complained about small rooms. Ours was not vast but quite adequate and certainly nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay here again.

Ups - This hotel is within 5 minutes walks from the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque, so was ideal for a short weekend (I stayed 3 nights). Good transport link (their metro system), with the airport and Tower Galata both within 1 change of line. Breakffast is decent. Their spa is really good, esp for couples as turkish baths usually treat men & women separately. Their spa suite also contains a sauna.

Downs - Really really small rooms, more like a boutique hotel (you can't fit more than 3 people in the lift really). Limited English channels on TV. Our air con also squeaked intermittently throughout the night. No coffee/tea/kettle facility in-room, and sheets were not too clean (we were scratching through the night, not sure if it's related to bio washing powders or what). Also their hot water dispenser at the breakfast lounge had black bits coming out like limescales too!
