This is IST, so go slow and observe every detail on your way for the following days around this city. It is a must to drink, smell, eat and seat around.

“Lively”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

In the heart of the old-town crowded almost all day. Easy to reach most ofl the "must see" locations in Istanbul. Make sure yoy visit them and have fast-food fish from the boats along the shore.

“''Where Istanbul's heart beats''”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

If you want to get the magic flair of old Istanbul, you should definitely spend a lot of time around the Eminönü Square. You should roam the maze of alleys and paths climbing up the hills, which are full of life till late in the evening. Hundreds of shops selling everything one could wish for compose the most typical and traditional market area of the city. Walking through it and, even better, getting lost in it is an unforgettable experience. The sounds, the aromas, the flavors, the images of simple everyday life will tell you just what Istanbul is all about. Mingle with the local people, look around, feel with all your senses and enjoy these moments which are a reminder of a life long lost in the Western world.

“entrance to history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Everyday many people visit this square from all over the world. It's always busy and close to historic part of Istanbul. Spice Bazaar is located in the heart of Eminonu. It's famous for its fish restaurants under the bridge, daily bosphorus trips are nice, connects Asia and Europe with its boats too. Close to Sultanahmet area.

“Go see if you have some sparetime.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We wanted to take one the feries to see the istanbul sea outside,s o we went to Eminonu, where you get the feries, boats and so on. This place is like the harbour kinda of places in Istanbul. You can take the tram/metro and there´s a station located right next to.
Since we arrived early we wanted to go visit the mosque as well, which was worth it.
But the shopping, indoor bazar, right next to mosque was also a lovely places. We shopped some dried fruits, a silver greenstone armband, some dried tealeaves and some more other seasoning stuff.
It´s worth the visit overall.
