We booked our stay on-line and got good value for money. The suite was clean and well maintained and the hotel was within walking distance from all the main tourist attractions in historical Istanbul. It felt really good to come back to a nice, clean, air-conditioned bedroom at the end of each crazy sightseeing day.

A special mention goes to Yusuf Ozhasar, the hotel manager, who made us feel welcome and was extremely accommodating, from everything from arranging shuttle service from and to the airport, booking tours, laundry and changing money. He provided good tips on historical places to see and restaurants to dine at... and even accompanied us to the simply awesome Kanyon Shopping Mall, one of the modern architecture highlights of the Levent district in Istanbul.

We stayed at Serdivan apartment for five nights during third week of July. Located on a uphill curve on Pierloti street, the apartment is just about 5-7 mins walk from Blue mosque and all the important sites in the Sultanahmet area.

While the two bedroom apartment is just compact enough to take in three people, Yusuf the lively General Manager has been very professional and looked after us very well. When we wanted microwave for the kitchen, he immediately arranged for one. He also brought a fan for the second bedroom when we said the cooling was not enough from the seond night onwards as Istanbul was unusually hot. He also provided us with all necessary information about visiting key places in Istanbul.
The breakfast was OK though the two Georgian ladies taking care of the terrace breakfast restaurant ensured the guests are happy. There are literally tens of restaurants along the street and two of them from where we ordered food were really good and value for money.

Overall it is a good family apartment

Very basic family run hotel with sub standerd facilities. Rooms are untidy and unhygienic with bad smell. Room furniture and bathroom facilities are inferior too. However hotel location is not bad, you just need 10-15 walk to famous sultanahmet places and restaurants.

Room Tip: Try to get room with clean bad sheets and without bad smell.

The staff (and the manager, especially) were incredibly kind and helpful. Rooms were very clean and the roof terrace very pleasant. The location is good, 5 minutes walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, on a street with nice restaurants.
The breakfast is pretty basic but plentiful and flexible on the hours. Would not hesitate to go there again, mainly for the terrace and staff.

Room Tip: Pick the room at the highest floor, with a balcony and across the hall from the roof terrace.
