“A warm welcome in Istanbul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

There's a reason the reviews for this place are so consistently high. To be more precise, there are two reasons: Murat and Murat. Never in all of my travels have I been made to feel so welcome and felt so comfortable at a hotel, but these guys really go above and beyond to help their guests feel at ease.

The location is ideal, as you are less than 2 minutes from Istiklal and very close to a number of great restaurants and sights in the Beyoglu neighborhood. At the same time, you feel as if you're immersed in the local environment in a safe and hip neighborhood.

The hotel decor is sort of Istanbul-meets-NYC, and it really works. Lots of IKEA stuff, and the rooms and lobby are very comfortable and inviting. We were in room 6, and it was definitely roomy and nice. The bathroom is small but clean and sufficient. They provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner, along with some really huge fluffy towels. The bedding is crisp, soft cotton, and the bed is quite comfortable. The rooms also come with a flat screen TV (with satellite, mostly Turkish and Arab channels), a big bottle of water, and a tea kettle. It was one of the few hotel rooms I've ever stayed in that I actually enjoyed hanging out in! The weather was rather cold and rainy, so we weren't able to take advantage of the cute little balcony. The windows were remarkably sound-proofed, and we had no issues with outside noise. There is a mosque about 500 feet away, so you will hear the call to prayer early in the morning, but it's part of the charm of travelling in Turkey!

The breakfast every morning was one of the highlights. There was always plenty of bread, butter, jam, olives, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, coffee, and tea. Every morning, there was always some kind of extra surprise, like cake, cookies, crepes, or menemen (scrambled eggs with peppers and tomato). Be warned: You will go home craving the menemen! I don't even normally like scrambled eggs, but I ate that stuff like there was no tomorrow. No matter how late we got up, they were always wiling to accomodate us. Sometimes, we filled up on breakfast and didn't eat again until dinner.

Many nights, we would hang out with one of the Murats in the lobby drinking wine, beer, or raki and talking about all kinds of things. They are both incredibly kind and interesting people! The older Murat was quite helpful in coordinating our New Year's Eve plans, and even managed to negotiate a discounted rate for us. When our flight got cancelled and we ended up staying 2 extra days in Istanbul, the younger Murat found a nice apartment for us to stay in and also negotiated a good rate for us. They really took care of us like we were family!

The maid is also very kind and helpful. She does a great job keeping the place clean and always greeted us with a warm smile every morning as she brought our breakfast to the table.

We definitely intend to return to Turkey one day, and when we do, we will definitely include at least a couple of nights at Peradays. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone, no matter your travel style or budget.

Great place to stay at in the heart of Beyoglu district. Very personnalized service and care from the 2 owners (Murat and Murat), nice design of both common areas and rooms, delicious home-made breakfast, 3 min by foot to Istiklal street, and, on the top of that, a gorgeous red cat named The Cure (in turkish of course) :)
Totally recommend for your stay in Istanbul and would love to come back one day!

We stayed at Peradays at the beginning of November 2011 and had a wonderful stay for five nights! We arrived and immediately felt at home when we were greeted by Murat. Our room was great - beautifully designed (as well as the rest of the hotel), comfortable, and cozy. The hotel location was perfect - right off Istiklal and in the middle of the Beyoglu/Taksim area. Breakfasts were delicious. Aside from the fact that the hotel itself was great, the two hosts/managers were what really made our stay. Their hospitality was great (one even helped me buy a coat a nearby store) and they were always eager to give us travel advice or just to sit and chat. I highly recommend staying at Peradays - it was the perfect hotel for our visit to Istanbul.

I stayed at PERADAYS from 4 to 7 November 2011. I have been in Istanbul before so I`ve got something to compare. This is a very comfortable hotel located in the heart of Beyoglu, next to famous restaurants street Nevizade, Flower Passage and Istiklal Street. I lived in room 8 on the fourth floor. My room was very large, the largest I ever stayed in Istanbul. The room had two beds, a wardrobe, a desk, a large LCD TV, safe, fridge, kettle, cups and glasses, three windows, shower and toilet. All decorated in contemporary style. Very clean. Windows are overlooking the city and the Tarlabashi Boulevard.
The breakfast was with fresh vegetables, yogurt, fresh bread, cheese, sausage, honey and jam. Very hospitable hosts - I was leaving early in the morning and Murat woke up 4 AM and cooked breakfast for me and wished me a pleasant journey.
I will stay here next time for sure.

Room Tip: Room 8 on the 4th floor is really great.

Me and my husband went on a wedding trip to Istanbul and stayed at Peradays. We payed a bit extra to get a suite, a large very comfortable and nicely decorated room. The staff and owner Murat and Murat is very friendly and gave us a lot of good recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. Even when we got up as late as 12 they served us breakfast. We would definitely stay at peradays again.

My friend and I enjoyed 3 nights at this hotel. As most reviewers have already stated, Murat and Murat were wonderful hosts, providing suggestions for restaurants and activities. The location is fantastic - you're only a stone throw's away from the little streets full of restaurants and shops, and close to Taksim Square. The hotel itself is on a street that is not directly accessible by car but only a few metres around the corner from a major boulevard. When our taxi pulled over, Murat was waiting for us and helped us take our luggage to the hotel. It's a good idea for your taxi driver to call the hotel enroute, otherwise it might not be so easy to find the hotel on your own.
They have done a great job of converting the townhouse into a modern boutique hotel. Our room was bright, clean and comfortable. I found a great deal on Venere.com. I also liked the fact that the hotel locks its doors at night - the neighbourhood is not at all dangerous, but it's reassuring since it is a smaller hotel. The breakfast is great and the hours pretty flexible. Istanbul is a fantastic city and I cannot wait to return!

This is an amazing place to stay in the most happening part of Istanbul, Beyoglu. From start to finish, our hosts Murad and Murad were helpful, kind and extremely accommodating. Our room was beautifully furnished, with a very urban, modern feel, and breakfast was authentic and plentiful. We especially liked the menemen and the pancakes.
Overall, would not hesitate in staying here again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable - I only wish we could've stayed here longer.
