“Spacious room, great view of Bosporous.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Stayed here April '12 and hotel was virtually brand new. Staff were very attentive to our needs and bent over backwards to assure we were pleased with the accomodations. Our room was on a very high floor with a great view of the Bosporous boat traffic. There was some construction noise but it was limited to late morning/afternoon.We were usually out touring or dining so it wasn't an issue. We are SPG gold elite and were recognized and upgraded given our status. Our only issue was the hotel is a long way from the old quarter and most of the sites one wants to see when visiting Istanbul.

Room Tip: Given its location lenghthy and costly taxi rides are probable.

Beautiful hotel with every possible attention to details. I booked a standard room and was upgraded to a junior suite for free during check in. Room was huge, spotless and very nicely decorated. Plenty of little touches in the room (toiletries, illy coffee machines, balcony, etc...) Every member of the staff that I came accross, speaks perfect english. Restaurant quality was very good, and the breakfast buffet was superb! I will certainly stay here again during my next visit. Only negative point is that it's a bit far (due to traffic) from the old town, but I was here for business, so not a problem for me.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on highest possible floor with Bosphorus views.

I am staying at Le Meridien İstanbul twice a month. The employees are very helpful and friendly. One of the best hotel gyms in the hotel though it is operated between 06:30-22:00. Breakfast is super. Highly recommended if you travel for business.

Staff were helpful, rooms and bathroom large and clean and a good view of the Bosphorous from the rooftop bar. Maybe the rooms can have other type of sockets rather than just one standard Turkish type, but that is a minor point. Room service food was average. Not a tourist hotel as it is far from the main tourist haunts but as a business hotel it is good.

Uninformed reception desk, poor food, average service and location about 40min taxi drive from the centre.

There's too many hotels in this town to waist your time and money here.

Unlike other SPG hotels we stayed in.

One upside - really helpful lady at the lounge (though cannot compensate all the negatives above)

Dear Valuable Guest,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us on this platform. We certainly perceive your input as an opportunity to improve our services at all levels.

We have shared your positive remarks regarding our Club Lounge team and rest assured it has been much appreciated.Though we were saddened to read that you felt your experience was unworthy as a SPG member, we are truly confident that when and if you do offer us another chance we will be able to demonstrate what our team is capable of achieving.

The Etiler metro station which has recently opened only 900 meters distance to our property, enables our guests to reach anywhere around the city most conveniently and promptly, including the Taksim and historical city areas. The added advantage of Le Méridien Istanbul’s close proximity to the most beautiful Bosphorus areas, the upscale shopping and entertainment venues and prominent business districts let’s our guests discover the many aspects that make our city so fascinating.

We very much hope to welcome you back in the future to offer a lovelier, most enhanced experience next time around.

With kind regards,

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while visiting Istanbul. It's a bit out of the the way for tourists, but the overall comfort and restaurant are well worth it. The staff is very professional and they went beyond the call of duty in helping me print boarding passes for a day trip to Ephesus.

On arrival we were upgraded to a Bosporous view room, and it was very comfortable with a very nice view. The food in the restaurant on the 4th floor was excellent, and we loved the view from the bar on the 34th floor. Another plus - the beds are extremely comfortable, and the bathroom is very spacious and nice with both a tub and separate shower. And, there was an electrically activated divider between the bedroom and bathroom that could be lowered so you could enjoy the view of the Bosporous bridge from the tub!

A word of advice! Be sure to bring a card from the front desk with the hotel phone number and address with you when leaving the hotel. We found that many drivers (taxi and car service) did not yet know where the hotel is, but are able to find it with the address on the card. When leaving the hotel by taxi the doorman was very stern and direct with taxi drivers and I believe this helped us avert any funny business with taxis overcharging on trips to the tourist areas.
