“Thumbs up to Emporium Hotel from a honeymoon couple from MaldIves”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days on our honeymoon Jan 2013. We shall give our thumbs up to this hotel & its staff. The services & the staff were excellent, starting from the General Manager Mr Emin to the receptionists & housekeepers who would always wear a big bright smile. The hotel was kept well clean.Breakfast everyday was wonderful. We look forward to coming back to Emporium Hotel again. Imthiyaz & Thooba from Maldives.

First time I've been to Istanbul , and what an amazing city. I found the hotel very clean , modern with a great location, The Hotel staff were all wonderful, Hakan on reception was especially helpful , and always polite and friendly, made the stay more enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Istanbul.

Good value for price, breakfast week; just deli & omelet no local food no espresso cafe.
Rooms are clean tidy, well equipped but small.
We reserved economy room but granted with room with window to sea, room was 99€/night is a little bet expensive.

Room Tip: Location of hotel near to many attraction and public transportation, you have access to any point in...

The hotel is in a good position , just across the Grand Bazar. Before, in this building there was a universal turkish style mall!!!, that is why the rooms are very small and they look in the interior garden.
Although we booked superior rooms ,the receptionist gave us economy rooms (that did not have natural light , they looked in the lobby ),saying they are overbooked ,wich was not true.
We could not open the window and the air condition was blowing directly in the bed , so we could not use it , so we had to keep the door open to get some air.
At night , because the windows looked in the lobby it was a lot of noise ,the staff talked loud and looked at tv all night long .The hotel is not safe at all , because the entrance is on the ground floor and the reception is on the first floor. you take the elevator and enter the rooms area without anybody knowing this. That is why at night there is a man walking all time on the corridors, to see if there is something wrong.
We felt very unsecure in this hotel .
At breakfast ,the plates were empty , they brought something too eat only if you ask them to, although you could get only some jam ,honey and cereals. The coffe was ok.
The good thing is that the room was very clean. Conclusion is that this hotel worth at the most 2”

Room Tip: All the rooms are bad , because this was not a hotel building from the begining, it was a shop and t...

I stay here everytime when I come to Istanbul with my familiy for business and I feel very good. Is clean, comfortable and close to the Grand Bazar. I stay in December 2011, March 2012 and I will go in May-June also.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are good.

The hotel was in an excellent location, rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. Silence was golden after coming in from the crazy city. Didn't hear a sound from other people or outside. Only problem was a top disappeared from my case on the last day. I spoke to the hotel and emailed once I got home to see if it had been found or handed in but so far I have had no reply. We asked reception to book a table for us but the restuarant we chose was closed so he sent us to his friends restuarant under the bridge. Wouldn't recommend it to any body else. Basic menu, boyfriends food was wrong but the waiter just shrugged his shoulders and wondered off.
