3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We were disappointed to find that this museum was closed for another year for renovations so if you are planning to visit keep this in mind.

“Best place to see Islamic Arts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Best location to see the highlights of Islamic art. A professional guide is highly recommended. Be ready to spare at least half a day for this visit.

“A place to spend a half a hot day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Not so widely advertised, the Turkish and Islamic Art Museum shows some very interesting items in a pleasant way.
Not too many items to make your visit fatiguing, quite diverse displays (very interesting the section covering ancient carpets and a small turkish ethnographic museum).
The environment is quite pleasant, with an ample and well kept garden, a quiet balcony overlooking place and the Blue Mosque to take a rest and read something, and a remarkable café.
Quite a place
