“Nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Nice location,Very close to istklal pedestrian road. I appreciated the fast and good response from reception when i reqested a room change. Breakfast needs some additions and the waiters should try harder. Pretty clean rooms but bit small?

Stayed May 2013, traveled as a couple

Convenient location on a Taksim Square side street facing Istiklal, a live area full restaurants, and coffee shops. (50 meters away from the new Hafız Mustafa, DO NOT leave Istanbul without tasting it!) Rooms clean - not large - but poorly isolated to the outside so you hear people buzz and police sirens from down the street even from the 4th floor... and this goes on till 3 am Fri/Saturdays, so unless dead tired you'll might have trouble sleeping. Hotel Staff was friendly, breakfast buffet OK (try the local scrambled eggs with tomato if you find them, the pies and local cheese).

Room Tip: avoid lower floors and rooms in the front

and unfortunately little else
sure the place is modern enough and the rooms (at least the so called suites) acceptably sized and of an ok standard regarding fixtures and fittings
but this is about all the positives I can think of (pressing myself hard)
We had a fifth floor room (5104) with a view towards the golden horn - and a massive construction site - whilst clearly not the hotels problem it would have been nice to know at the time of booking - especially as the aircon cannot cope and you have to have the windows open (otherwise room temperature goes up to 41C - in spring)- other rooms of our party also had issues. We thought it's broken but after three fixing attempts we come to the conclusion it is simply undersized for the room (or the full height to ceiling windows oversized - however you turn it)
House keeping is not up to scratch for 4 stars (no I do not expect a turn down service) - however a plate with fruit leftovers not cleared for 2 consecutive days and the left a further morning after we pt it out in the corridor is unacceptable - also the bathroom not always cleaned as we would want it, towels spilling out threads on the ends and so forth....
Front of house staff friendly and willing to help and with some training certainly up to the job, but lack of this is evident
Breakfast wants too much and delivers too little- a massive all singing and dancing buffet which leave most items too long to be of nice quality, freshly pressed juice only available early in the morning, then some instant stuff which simply doesn't go- been there once, go over the road and pay since
So has potential but need lots of work

Room Tip: another hotel, perhaps?

Excellent location across the street from Taksim Square. Incredible staff: they arranged to send a taxi to pick up a lost bag for me and catered to my every wim. Super fast Internet (in the room, not just the lobby). Great little gym with pool and Turkish bath/sauna. Amazing breakfast options.

This place is awesome. I was able to get it on Booking.com for just under $100. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Taksim. Five star service and accommodations.

Very good location, very close to Taksim Square, and Independence Street, where many restaurants, and coffee shops are available!
The Rooms are clean and large enough.
BUT,
Rooms facing Taksim square are not well isolated, outside noise till 2-3 am is reaching you inside the room! Unless you used to sleep regardless of surrounding noise! Won’t feel comfortable during the night !
Hotel Staff is not really doing their best to satisfy the hotel guests! I remember I complained 4 times about the air condition and they did not show any care to my complain! just kept saying will send somebody to fix it and they never do till I gave up !
Breakfast Buffet is limited compared to other hotels within same level!

Location of hotel is the only good thing if you are looking for a lively and crowded area to stay with lots of shops, restaurants and bars.
- 1 min walk to Taksim metro station.
- Hotel staff are not very helpful ( they do not try hard to satisfy customers needs) and some of the staff do not know english well.
- Standard rooms are very very very small. If you want to go for this hotel, i advise you to book the suite with sea view (more expensive but much bigger with view).
- rooms are clean.
- breakfast buffet is limited, no variety but it was ok.
- If you sleep with window open, there will be alooot of street noises. So if you are not used to sleep in a noisy neighborhood, then this would be a problem.
- If I decide to stay here again it will only be for the location and price.
