“Absolutely perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

The Sultan House Hotel is perfectly situated, very close to Hippodrome Square, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the tram station at Sultanahmet. The hotel is clean and the rooms neat and tidy. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and helpful and speak very good English. There is someone on the reception desk 24 hours so it is easy to come and go regardless of the time. Breakfast is buffet-style but you can also order hot food although we didn't as there was plenty of choice. We absolutely loved it and we will definitely be going back.

I've just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Sultan House and can't really find a single fault.
We arrived by metro and tram from the airport which was cheap and straightforward; the tram stop is less than ten mins walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly from the start and by day 2 we felt as though we were known to each staff member. We did have to change rooms after one night but luggage was moved during the day for us so it didn't cause any real problem.
We were given a map of the city (very useful, the free ones from the airport are useless!) and explored straight away. We found the magnificent Blue Mosque plaza within seconds, with many choices of restaurants only a few hundred metres away. We walked everywhere for the remainder of our stay, and it was great to know that when we arrived back there would be the chance to sit in the reception area (24 hours open) and enjoy a tea.
Breakfast was served from 6.30 until 10, leaving a choice as to how we wished to spend our morning. I enjoyed the cereals, yoghurt, dried fruit and omelette. My partner enjoyed the bread, cheeses and hot sausage and egg selection.
We enjoyed our break in Istanbul and are likely to return in a few years, we'd have no hesitation to stay at Hotel Sultan House again!

This little hotel is just off The Hippodrome with Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia only a few minutes away. We were able to cover all the main attractions of the Old City on foot from here.
The staff could not have been more helpful and spoke excellent English. The rooms are simple with reliable showers that avoid the horrible hot/cold surprises of many.
Breakfast was a varied buffet with hot options and individually cooked items available.
A great little place to stay that offered us everything that we wanted.

I stayed here during the Christmas break (just gone) with four other members of my family. The hotel was very close to the Blue Mosque- it actually felt even closer than the 100m they stated on their website! The staff (Ramzan, Fahad and Safiyah and the others whose names I cannot remember) were very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. They simply cannot be praised enough for their hospitality! I have been recommending this hotel to my friends and family and on my next visit to Istanbul, will certainly be returning to the hotel.
Thank you to everyone at Sultan House Hotel!

It was our first time in Instanbul and certainly not the last time.

Sultan House staff was very kind and helpful and made us feel like home. Best service ever.

Location was great. Near all the main museums and walking distance from the grand bazaar.

I truly can recommend this hotel.
