As many i used the TripAdvisor to look for a hotel and the reviews helped me to choose and i chose Esans Hotel.
When i arrived i was met bu the duty manager at that time, Engin Coskun , who always smiled and was very helpful, he showed me two rooms to choose from so that i can be comfortable, and the rest of my stay was perfect, always in this hotel everyone was very friendly, smiling all the time ready to help and if you ask a question they will go out of their way to answer you and help.
The breakfast was very good , and most importantly the rooms were very clean, just perfectly clean as new.
They helped me in my day tours and got a special discount , advised and suggested what to do and where to go and how.
Being there with these guys around makes the person feel at home while he is in a vacation.
As i said who is lucky will find himself in this hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights only but found this hotel got an excellent location, it was located near Archaeology Museum, Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque where we enjoyed these places so much, staffs were thoughtful and friendly in any case. Our room was large, extremely a big window where we could see the river view from our room. Hotel owned a excellent terrace on top floor where we could have breathtaking in the late afternoon and got views to old city of Istanbul. We would recommend this hotel for its location, value and staffs

just back to ialy and i want to say thank you so much at all staff to this hotel....so kind and very professional.
every morning you get up and u find a smile from them and after they are so happy to show you the own city map for the new day trip in istanbul. the rooms are very comfortable and clean.
you can also find a good terrace with a view to asia area and the ayasofia and blue mosque. break fast is ok....sweet and salt home made and fresh orange juice for you. not expensive and so close to commercial area(sultanhamet)......next trip in istanbul i'll be there again..

Good:
1. excellent location (quiet and transportation is near)
2. very nice and helpful staff (i.e. more warm feel than 5 star hotel)
3. room is not very big (for one person) but all necessities are there
4. bed is comfortable
4. good quality of breakfast additional with fresh squeezed orange juice
5. free wi-fi (i.e. much better than some 5 star hotel that you need to pay everyday)
6. Cleaning standard is good
7. price is affordable and feel worthy!

Not good:
1. wooden partition cannot provide good sound isolation (i.e. can hear somebody talking).
2. I stayed on 2/F floor and cannot have a good sleep on the first night due to the noise/sound upstairs.
3. no lift (i.e. even staff will carry luggage for you but it is inconvenience with heavy luggage)
