“Just simply perfect , If you are lucky you will book in this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

As many i used the TripAdvisor to look for a hotel and the reviews helped me to choose and i chose Esans Hotel.
When i arrived i was met bu the duty manager at that time, Engin Coskun , who always smiled and was very helpful, he showed me two rooms to choose from so that i can be comfortable, and the rest of my stay was perfect, always in this hotel everyone was very friendly, smiling all the time ready to help and if you ask a question they will go out of their way to answer you and help.
The breakfast was very good , and most importantly the rooms were very clean, just perfectly clean as new.
They helped me in my day tours and got a special discount , advised and suggested what to do and where to go and how.
Being there with these guys around makes the person feel at home while he is in a vacation.
As i said who is lucky will find himself in this hotel.
Thanks for the many positive reviews who helped me to decide and i hope this will help someone else.
Good Luck, and enjoy your trip.

We stayed here for 2 nights only but found this hotel got an excellent location, it was located near Archaeology Museum, Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque where we enjoyed these places so much, staffs were thoughtful and friendly in any case. Our room was large, extremely a big window where we could see the river view from our room. Hotel owned a excellent terrace on top floor where we could have breathtaking in the late afternoon and got views to old city of Istanbul. We would recommend this hotel for its location, value and staffs

Room Tip: Choosing the room on highest floor, so you could get excellent view. the room was large, modern and...

Good:
1. excellent location (quiet and transportation is near)
2. very nice and helpful staff (i.e. more warm feel than 5 star hotel)
3. room is not very big (for one person) but all necessities are there
4. bed is comfortable
4. good quality of breakfast additional with fresh squeezed orange juice
5. free wi-fi (i.e. much better than some 5 star hotel that you need to pay everyday)
6. Cleaning standard is good
7. price is affordable and feel worthy!

Not good:
1. wooden partition cannot provide good sound isolation (i.e. can hear somebody talking).
2. I stayed on 2/F floor and cannot have a good sleep on the first night due to the noise/sound upstairs.
3. no lift (i.e. even staff will carry luggage for you but it is inconvenience with heavy luggage)

Room Tip: Select only the room in higher floor~

We stayed for 5 nights in a room on the third floor. The room was gorgeous with a comfy bed and it was spotlessly clean. But at such a close proximity to the mosque if you don't bring earplugs you will be woken at 5.30am every morning. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, gave great advice on where to go, things to see and how to get round the city; they were always on hand to answer any queries you had. The breakfast was brilliant - orange juice squeezed freshly for you when you sat down each morning; unbelievable buffet with amazing range of breads, cheeses, olives, cold meats, fruit and more. The hotel itself was wonderful and we would love to give it 5 out of 5 but unfortunately the 5.30am wakeup call from a very screechy loudhailer at the mosque spoiled the whole thing. Not the hotel's fault but if you can't get full nights sleep then can't give higher rating than a 3.

Room Tip: Bring earplugs!

Dear Valuable Guest,

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Each review is so important for us to be able to monitor ourselves.

We are happy to hear that you liked everything in our Hotel. The prayer voice is common in every Islam countries. It is 5 times per day.The night prays are being done as fast as they can by all the mosques. It takes only 1 minute for night prays to last. Some of our guest may find it disturbing as other guest find it interesting and relaxing. Some of foreign guests even buy CD of prays. It is the nature of visiting new country and different kind of life taste atmosphere.

As seen in other reviews, Istanbul or our hotel has no chronic issue of high prayer voice disturbance. Our hotel is on a very silent street and minutes walking to museums, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. We would kindly encourage our guests to explore more about it if there is any hesitation.

We have double glazed windows and fully individual A/C in our rooms. If our guests close the room windows, the prayer voice reduces apparently. If any of our guest is light sleeper, we have earplugs in our Hotel for their comfort which we can provide any time. We check with our guests every morning if their night was OK. Unfortunately we have never been informed about the issue. We would like to do our utmost for our guests maximum comfort in our Hotel.

We will be happy to welcome you again in our Hotel.
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best Regards

These hotel was perfect, we stayed for 4 nights and didn't not have any issues. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the ocean. They had a nice roof top area that would be amazing in the summer to eat on. The only thing to be aware of is the mosque if you sleep with the window open it really loud but doesn't last long, I slept through it twice. Overall fabulous hotel. The customer service was perfect not overly aggressive with trip and tours.

The hotel was delightful. We arrived at 9am before our room was ready, but the staff invited us to a much appreciated and tasty breakfast (with fresh squeezed orange juice) kept our bags safe and gave us great directions around the city. Then our room was upgraded at no cost to the third floor with a beautiful sea view. Simply wonderful! And what we have to say for Istanbul only gets better, if that is at all possible. Esans is literally a block and a half from the most spectacular sites - Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topaki Palace - more than you can possibly see in a weekend. Eight minutes walking in one direction you'll be on the water and in the other direction you'll be on the T1 tram line to connect with the rest of the huge city. Definitely visit a turkish bath! The hotel can help arrange that. Esans is about an hour or a little more of a fun and visually exciting walk to Taksim Square which seems like a whole other world. All for a great price. We are returning as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Pick a superior room on the third floor with a sea view if possible. All the rooms are great, but th...
