“Best meal of the trip plus access to rooms from 1700 years ago”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Our hotel manager (Muyan Suites) recommended this restaurant and we were most glad he did. We had a hard time finding the place as none of the store keepers on our way had heard of this place. We ended up asking hotel concierges and were magically directed to the right place.

The patrons were warm and welcoming and not pushy like what we had experienced throughout our walks. The place is light and clean with a nice decor. The food was well presented and tasty. The price was reasonable as well. At the end of our meal we were shown an extension to the restaurant. It was unearthed 15 years ago and was an extension to topkapi palace (perhaps secret chambers or path ways), it was a little creepy to walk into a space from 1700 years ago but totally amazing. I recommend this place without hesitation for a meal/restaurant that will mark your memory for years to come!

“Great food and history as well!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Superb meals twice during our stay in August 2013 - service and warmth of welcome excellent - made to feel important . Very reasonable price and the atmosphere was relaxing. At the end of the meal we were shown the foundations of a palace that was sited here in 5 th century- amazing - at he back of the restuarant!! All the the staff wanted to chat yet were not pushy - just very welcoming

“An ok meal in a comfortable setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

I went to this restaurant because of the numerous positive reviews that it has received on tripadvisor. The food was ok - it was a filling meal and nothing tasted bad - but I certainly wish I had gone somewhere else. The rice pudding was not good at all. It was bland and had an odd consistency. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. As well, the outside setting was very relaxing. I just wish the food had been better.

“Great food, with a taste of archeology!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and I must thank the staff for that. The food is excellent, and people very kind. The price is absolutely reasonable. The first time (we went there two times) we chose a table nearby the street, but the second time time we asked for the terrace that, although is not facing the top of city, offers a very nice view of an old palace and a very nicely quiet position, which let you appreciate the "magic atmosphere" of the city. Last but not least, you can visit the amazing palace under the restaurant, which makes your dinner an unforgettable experience.
