“GREAT HOTEL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Very pleasant hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet (Istanbul). It is only 2 minutes from the Blue mosque, Aya Sophia and the tramway station. The rooms are clean and some of them offer a splendid sea view. The hotel also has a beautiful veranda and a garden where you can have breakfast. Moreover, the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Sultanahmet Park Hotel is the perfect hotel for an unforgettable stay in the Bosphorus city.

I went in that hotel in on March. Good location ( near Blue Mosque and other monuments ). The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean but too small for three person. The breakfast very good. In my opinion, this hotel is a very good choice for who go in Istanbul for holiday. If you send an email for book, don't forget : Tuba is a (very nice) MRS, not MR !!!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the place. It is clean and has what it should. But there is also nothing spectacular which honestly you should not expect to see that for what you pay.
Rooms are so small. We had one piece of large luggage, if we had two it would have been a problem. No room to walk or sit (there was only one small chair). So if you want to hang out in the room, you should sit on the bed!
Staff are nice!

We stayed at the "Sultanahmed Park Hotel" during our trip to Istanbul 9-16 February 2013.
I would say, that hotel location is perfect and our room had a great view of "Blue Mosque" and "Hagia Sofia".
The room was a bit small (bathroom as well), but clean and equipped with AC, phone, TV with satellite channels and etc... Also, breakfast was nice...
The staff - very friendly, specially Tuba at the reception... she helped us with every our request.
We just can only THANK Tuba and all the staff at "Sultanahmed Park Hotel" for making our stay so enjoyable.

With best Regards,
Keti & Archil

I just love the people who runs this hotel period. The owner pays for parking so you are not disturbed. Parking meter guys charges half the price because the hotel has great friendship with everyone around the area. You need food middle of the night, don't feel like walking out. No problem someone from downstairs goes out brings you whatever you want from local restaurants. They even pay for it not to disturb you twice. You pay them back when food arrives. I had bad issue with my voice. I just said goodmorning to the owner Cumali. He rightaway send me a herbal tea to my room on the house and he asked me if I needed any kind of madication. If I needed they will go to the pharmacy and get what ever I need over the counter. I been there twice in a year from Florida USA. I just love my new family...The Hotel is in the most beautiful part of Istanbul right next to Sultanahmet Cami very safe neighborhood and most restaurants, pastry shops, shopping all in walking distance. Just about most people in the area speaks english, german, french it is amazing neighborhood and atmosphere Tom Scott From West Palm Beach Florida...Note: BEST BREAKFAST NO QUESTION AND IT IS FREE OF CHARGE... : )

Room Tip: no doubt all rooms are very clean and very comfortable beds. They serve the best breakfast free of c...

We stayed at the Sultanahmet Park Hotel on a quick trip to Istanbul. First, the pros- excellent location near many of the "big" tourist sights, and our room had a great view of the Blue Mosque. We only were visiting for a short time, so location was a prime concern, and this little hotel was perfectly located. Also, the bed was very comfortable... a real plus. Finally, there was an elevator to get you up to your floor. Some small boutique type hotels make you walk 4 flights. After a long day of sightseeing, it was a pleasure not to have to hike up more stairs!

As for the "cons", the rooms were tiny. We travel frequently and understand European rooms are small,- but this was REALLY tiny. 2 people could not stand in the bathroom at the same time, and it was a dance for my partner and I to move around the room without running into each other (literally). Second con is that the rooms are very tired. Wall paper was separating at the seams, Finally, the breakfast (included) was very average at best. We have stayed in "discount" hotels before where the breakfast was much better. We had also spoken to others staying in Small Sultanahmet hotels and their breakfast was better. This breakfast had hard boiled eggs, feta cheese and a yellow cheese, some zucchini and eggplant in oil, and pieces of simit and bread. Average at best.

I would stay here again, as the price is very economical and the location was good. I also would be open to finding another spot. The front desk service is nice and on duty 24/7. My only comment there is, like so many other places (Egypt, Morocco), I believe there are "benefits" to hotel staff for referring customers. Several recommendations that were given to us, when checked against reviews on trip advisor, were suspect (actually horrid reviews). That did not bother us, as we do our homework before coming and we found our own places to eat etc.. However, we were very suspect as to places that were recommended and, while appreciating the recommendation, we noticed that the staff was not too pleased when we didn't go to one of the places they tried to send us. If you stay here, do your own homework, and enjoy the place for being economical, while in a good location.

Room Tip: 602 had an amazing view of the Blue Mosque.

We arrived at this hotel by chance after we decided that our other hotel was unsatisfactory. The room was well equipped and very clean. It was next door to a mosque but it had a very quiet morning call for prayer. Based on our 9 days in Istanbul, it was probably the quietest hotel in the area. It was in easy walking distance from all the sites including ayasophia and the blue mosque. The hotel had a very adequate breakfast served at reasonable hours. Staff were very friendly and helpful with endless offerings of tea.
