“Great location and helpful staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

This hotel is in a brilliant location for exploriing Istanbul. It is within walking distance of the attractions in the Old City such as the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, the Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Spice Market. It is located next to a lovely park where you can see the locals picnicking. The hotel is in between Sirkeci and Gulhane tram stops and you can use the tram ways to get to Taksim and other areas of interest. The tram costs 3 Turkish Lira per journey.

The room was average and a bit rough around the edges. It had air conditioning which we didn't realise wasn't working properly until we moved to a different hotel. The mini bar fridge was also broken and emitting quite alot of heat which added to the temperature in the room. It wasn't so bad that it bprevented us from sleeping but we would have said something if we had realised! There is free wifi available throughout the hotel.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome, even offering us a cold drink upon our arrival. The breaksfast buffet was really good. Traditional Turkish breakfast items as well as cereal and lots of choice! The breakfast was one of the best things about this hotel!

We were a group of 5 persons and we stayed in 2 rooms, a double and a triple. Both rooms had large windows surrounding half of the room, cozy beds and were very clean. The hotel is situated at 10 min walking distance to Topkapi Palace.
The staff is amazing, i can say that i got to see them more like friends than like hotel employees. They were extremely friendly to us, very helpful and always ready to help you with everything you need. I honestly recommend the rooms from the 4th floor since you have an easy access to the terrace which is big and you can see Gulhane Park which is 1 min away, Topkapi and Blue Mosque.
I really really recommend this hotel because of the conditions, the location ( btw, train station is 2 min away) and the staff.

Room Tip: rooms from the 4th floor because you have easy access to the terrace.

The service was fantastic and every possible concern is taken care of. The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds and large windows. The breakfast is great with a decent selection. The hotel is located near everything imaginable. Public transit is a two minute walk and can take you virtually anywhere. All amenities are up to date and working. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the city. Shuttle service is offered to and from both airports. Staff is very knowledgeable on tourism and they know all the small merchants.

My wife a I stayed at this Hotel for 10 Days from 27.12.2012-06.01.2013, for our honeymoon and we had beautiful time. The Hotel is near by the each historical bildings by foot, all in 5-15 min by walking and 5 minuts walking to Bosphorus cruise. Near by is also train station, approximately 2 minuts from hotel witch allows you to visit distant parts of the City in very cheap and safe way.
Hotel staff is very very kind, frendly and honest.
The Food was very good.
The Rooms are very nice and clean.

Greatings for my blue Brother and Mr. Silvio from Bosna ;)
We hope to see you next year, Kısmetse :)
