“there are better choices arround...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011

We were just one night on our trip through Turkey and chose this hotel because of the rates and the location. It has really good location, next to Gulhane tramstation,Topkapi,Aya Sofia...just few minutes walk, but the thing that i didnt like was that we didnt got the room that the stuff informed us that we will get,or the room that they show as family apartment is something else! The boy at the reception was like surprised when we were checking in,despite all the e-mails.The other thing is that they charge you for the parking if you come with car!Not just that, the guy that parked our cars at the arrival asked for 20eur,but the other day when i payed at the reception asked for 16...i dont like stuff like that at all,no matter where it happens. The front door couldn`t lock. The `family room we`ve got actually had two separated rooms with two bathrooms(that were quite ok)separated with a door inbetween, was ok for 4 people, not for 6 as we reserved!!!And than they brought one extra bed and one babycot for our smaller child. The breakfast was ok.
I don`t intend to write for this on any other purpose than - make sure you get the right room or look for other hotel in the surrounding, and there is plenty of them!

Room Tip: Average...with good location

We would like to thank the hotel for the extremely pleasant stay. Everything was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in a very comfortable, clean room, and the quality of the beds was extraordinary, which proved to be convenient after a day of walking through the old city of Istanbul.

The location was perfect: at just ten minutes walking from the Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sofia and the famous Blue Mosque, it has been easy for us to see many different cultural aspects and find some cozy restaurants.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We have visited many hotels in our lifetime, but honestly, this was the hotel with the best staff we'd ever encountered! Every morning, the manager or other members of the staff had a talk with us, which resulted in a very easy, free atmosphere that was pleasant to stay in. If we had any problem, the staff always solved it immediately.

All in all, it was definitely worth the money. We would not hesitate returning to this hotel the next time we visit Istanbul!

As a base for exploring the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul this hotel is so well located. Just 100 metres off the main road with all the hussle and bustle and noise of city life, it is in a little side street with no noise... From the moment we arrived the staff couldnt have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They always had a smile and spent a little time to make sure we were ok. Not just niceties but converstion... The rooms were perfectly adequate as a base and were always clean and tidy. The beds were proper divans and really comfotable, which was a definite plus after a long day in the city. The free Wifi was a definite bonus too as I need access whilst away from home. Will definitely go back.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights wie a group of friends. We were put into one of the big family rooms which turned out to be really great value for money, spacious and a great deal for a bigger group like us. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone, seeing that both service and most of all location are amazing and certainly among the best you can get within this price category. Nice breakfast was another bonus. Many thanks to the staff again and hope to return soon !

The hotel has some problems because it is under Renovation BUT the location is perfect near the tram and ALL sightseeing.there is a police station close to the hotel so it is very safe neighborhood. The best part of hotel is the staff. they are Very hospitable and helpful English speaking. They are very kind and all the time time ask us if we need anything else (tee coffee fruit etc). Mechmet is the best manager i have ever met.He is funny and very kind.
